It is hard to believe it with all the snow on the ground but we are approaching the start of the 2010 Baseball Season. I would like to get some discussion going on all of the teams this year. As you can tell by my avatar I am a Buccos fan so of all teams in the MLB I sadly know the most about my Pirates. I would love to hear what you think about your teams.

I've been going through this years "current" rosters and taking notes on if I think the team will be Better, Worse, or Holding Steady in terms of wins from last season.

AL EAST:
Yankees (Holding steady)
Red Sox (Holding steady)
Rays (Moderately Better)
Orioles (Moderately Better)
Blue Jays (Moderately Worse)

AL CENTRAL:
White Sox (Moderately Better)
Twins (Moderately Worse)
Indians (Significantly Better)
Tigers (Significantly Worse)
Royals (Moderately Better)

AL WEST:
Mariners (Holding Steady)
Angels (Significantly Worse)
Rangers (Moderately Worse)
Athletics (Holding Steady)

NL EAST:
Phillies (Holding Steady)
Mets (Significantly Better)
Braves (Holding Steady)
Marlins (Significantly Worse)
Nationals (Significantly Better)

NL CENTRAL:
Cardinals (Holding Steady)
Reds (Moderately Better)
Cubs (Holding Steady)
Brewers (Holding Steady)
Pirates (Moderately Better)
Astros (Moderately Worse)

NL WEST:
Dodgers (Moderately Worse)
Rockies (Moderately Worse)
Diamondbacks (Significantly Better)
Giants (Significantly Worse)
Padres (Holding Steady)

Key:
Holding Steady: +/-  0 to 4 Wins
Moderately:  +/- 5 to 9 Wins
Significantly: +/-  10 or More wins.

Not sure why you have the Twins as moderately worse. Orlando Hudson at second and JJ Hardy as short is a vast improvement over anything they have ran out there in recent years. Span can now settle in at the center field position rather than rotate, and adding Jim Thome to the bench is huge. The Twins haven't had a real threat off the bench.... maybe ever. Other than that I think alot of your predictions look pretty spot on.

I really hope the Blue Jays are going to be only Moderately worse, in order for this to happen Vernon Wells and Lyle Overbay need to go back to their numbers of 2006. I say this because the pitching is going to be rough this year without a veteran like Halladay to help guide this younge staff therefore we will need the offense to pick up for the pitching. Otherwise it is going to be a long year. Prediction 72-90 (again I hope im dead wrong with this as I am a huge Jays fan.

The Giants are significantly worse!!! Please explain why you think they are going to be 10 or more games worse than last year. I'd love to hear your reasoning...I'm sure you don't have any reason so I'll give you time to research the team and then bullshit me your reason.
