Let's see, favorite beer.....Hummmmmm........Cold!
Anyone know if its still around, I haven't seen it down South.
Estrella Damm... good stuff! Had it on my trip to Spain a couple of years ago.
OMG Finally a thread that's been calling my name!!! I've been in and around the bar business for the last 15 yrs or so. I like lots of beers.........
First of all...to the person that started this thread that enjoys IPAs....Dogfish Head (which someone mentioned) and Bridgeport IPA (oregon) is by far my fav!
Secondly...Starwink, Paulaner Oktoberfest is fn delicious...the Marzen...wish you could get it year round.
Thirdly...Starling68, Young Dble Choc stout is by far the best dark beer I've ever put to my lips!!! It's like a Guiness with a Hershey Kiss finish!!! If there are any tokers out there, I highly suggest this beer!!!!
Finally....there are alot of beer that I've had that are very regional and not available to most folks. I lived in a ski town for 6 years after college where the Snake River Brewery is....yum...they've one all kinds of awards for their stouts and pales!!!!!!! The hops in the pale ale make the beer smell just like a nugget of green. Another one of my personal favs that are regional is from the Alaskan Brewery....all you northwester folks know the name. Alaskan Pale....cant get enough of it!!!! On a different note there is a local place outside of Atlanta here that serves nothing but Belgiums and high gravity (high alcohol %) beers. There is one inparticular that everyone should try if you ever get the chance. Now remember this name...St. Bernardus....say it with me now...ST BERNARDUS. It' a 10% pint of deliciousness that will knock you on your ass! Look for it if you are into premium Belgium Trappist beers.
Damn I'm thirsty now...gonna go grab a bud light out of the fridge.
Stay thirsty my freinds.
Sterling, its called The Brick Store. It's actually in Decatur...in the trendy little downtown section. The closest thing they have to a domestic beer is Guiness! lol
Sierra Nevada
SAM ADAMS (Boston) Gotta have it on Tap though or else it's not that good
also Great Lakes "Christmas Ale" FUCKIN AWESOME!! out of Cleveland, the only good thing to come from cleveland. it comes out in december and stays out for a month or two, so you gotta get it fast!
My Belgian buddies are always going on about their beers but every one they INSIST I try I don't like. So much for the DamnErican LOL. I will look for St. Bernadus. Oh, and what's the name of the place in Atlanta?
