Season win totals. Got your team right here. 9-1 over past 7 years.

Well its true I lost my first season win total wager last year with the Brew Crew. However I went 1-1 when I barely won with the Rockies. This year im going for an over. It may surprise you but the team im going with this year is the Anaheim Angels. Its a perfect set up for easy money. The total is 87.5 after winning 78 last season. Its one of the things I look for. Most people or  random bettor would think under right away. Some of you may know that I prey on them kind of wagers. Here is why I like the Angels to go over the 87.5 win total. My highest over for a team since I started way back in 2007 with the Rays. You may disagree but im 9-1 you cant argue with
1st base--- Albert Pujols. There is no way he plays as bad as last season. He was injured most of the year and reports say he is healthy again. A bounce back season is in the works,. Im thinking modest and will go with 31-105 with a decent 290 average. Which is heads and heels above last year
2nd base. Howie Kendrick. Howie just does what Howie does. A decent average a few sbs and a little pop. Could be worse. Expect 14-65 while batting around .280
SS- Eric Aybar. Same as above. Will steal a few more bases. Expect a modest .270 average with around 10 sbs while playing decent defense.
3rd base--- David Freese. Why the Yankees didnt get this gamer is beyond me. I like this kid. Remind me of Scott Brousious. Nothing major but a true ball player. Expect a good season but more in the 2nd half. G... [More]

7-0 in season win totals Here is your best bet for the Over this sason

I have given you the Rays,Royals,Rangers,Astros. Blue Jays, Pirates and the Pads from last year. My team this year is the Brewers which im going to lock down at 79.5  Every year I invest 1,000 into one team. I make very few bets during the season. I have a secret from my wife account that I put a little in every week to make this bet every year. I have a friend that goes to Vegas every year for March Madness and he sometimes places the bet for me. Otherwise ill do it online. He is def going this year so ill give him the money beforehand. After I win my grand I proceed to pay off my fantasy leagues and losing the rest on the NFL. Then normally spend a bunch on home heating oil which is fking killing me this year.

The Brewers AKA the Brew Crew. I will probably throw another at ya b4 the season. Ive done two teams only once and won both. (Blue Jays and Pirates) Anyway lets talk about the Crew

1st baseman. Taylor Green/ Corey Hart. For the first month it will be some shlum. After maybe the middle of May its going to be the underrated Corey Hart. Every year Hart puts up respectable numbers. Not sure how well he will play first but his bat makes up for any errors. Expect 24-27 Hr and around 75-80 rbi after he comes back

2nd baseman. Rickie Weeks The time for Weeks to break out and have that amazing season is running out. He was hot the second half last year so hopefully it carries over. I expect Weeks to have his best season. Expect around 17-22 Hr and 77... [More]

American League predictions

Season Totals not quite ready yet. I have a few teams in mind but nothing concrete. Many of you may know im 8-0 in over for season win totals. Since 2007

Al East-

Toronto. Love what they did in the off season. Alot of times teams who go all in it turns into a disaster but there are to many team guy here. Toronto has the goods to win the East. 93-96 wins. Player TO Watch (PTW) Brett Lawrie

Rays. Not much offense but I feel they have just enough to sneak into second. I think they get alot from Will Myers and enough SP and decent RP to get by. 89-92 wins. PTW Will Myers

Red Sox. Sox who of course as a Yankee fan, are a team I love to hate but I feel they have picked up good team first guys. I def. think Lester bounces back and they should get something from Lackey. 86-89 wins. PTW Will Middlebrooks

Yankees. Losing Grandy willl hurt ALOT. losing a 40 home run guy for ten weeks will sting any team. A Rod may sit out the season. Derek Jeter is another year older. The only starter under 30 is Brett Gardner. The SP will be decent enough but they will have a lack of O outside of Tex who is declining, Jeter who is old and Suzuki who will be older then Jeter. 83-86 PTW Kevin Youkilis

Orioles. No way they do what they did last season. They will struggle to win 81 games. Just not enough pitching. 74-77 wins

AL Central

Tigers- A team this strong shouldnt be allowed! Miggy, Fielder, Martinez is back and then they sign Hunter? Ver... [More]

Here are my picks for the Wild Card

Atlanta Cant go against Medlen here. The team simply plays way to well to go against him. But I am not going to wager the sides. Im going to wager the OVEr 6.5 I really think the BRaves are going to go Apeshit vs Lohse. The team is batting .,317 vs him career. No way this game doesnt go well over the total. OVER 6.5
Im thinking Atlanta 8 St Louis 2
Game 2- Texas Baltimore. Im going under the posted total of 9 I think Darvish and Saunders keep it low enough. Both have good bullpens. Im thinking Texas 6-2 or something.

Good luck fuckers.

Ive given you the Royals,Rays,Rangers,Astros,Blue Jays and Pirates im 6-0! Season Totals! Its time!!

Well after searching through the season win totals ive come up with a solid choice. You may disagree with me however you cant argue that ive given you winners every year since 2007.07 I gave you the Rays or Royals then the Royals or Rays cant remember which order in 08. Then the Rangers in 09. Then I squeaked by with the Astros. Last year I threw the Jays and Pirates at ya and won BOTH. I am 6-0 in season win totals. So disagree as you may but you have been warned........

I present to you the season win totals for the year

THE SAN DIEGO PADRES. over 70.5

Heres why

Lineup

Maybin. Not a great lead-off hitter but he does do everything a bit above average. He can hit the long ball steal bases, score runs. Not your ideal lead-off guy but better choice than others.

Hudson- The O dog is getting old or is old but he still can contribute. He stole 19 bases last year. He hit 7 homers. I think if he can get the average up to around .280 it will certainly help the Pods get to 71 wins. He is enough of a pro to be able to do just that.

Headley- Another guy who can steal bases. Headley was terrible with his power numbers but if he can hit .,300 he will help set up the cleanup hitter along with the number 5 guy. He should get the power numbers up to around 12-15. He is still young enough.

Quentin- Petco will certainly cut into his power numbers but im def. expecting a strong power season from Carlos. Maybe 26-30 home runs. I think h... [More]

Can someone please explain to me how the Marlins are sudenly rich. Todays editorial and rant

I mean they sign Joe Reyes for106 million they have Hanley on the payroll and every time I read a baseball article I see the Marlins are involved. I dont know about any of you but a new ball park and logo wont make me spend any more money than I normally would. Im a die hard Yankee fan and have been since I was 8. I still havent been to the new Yankee Stadium. Is a new ballpark really going to make the Marlins that much better off financially? What about in three years from now when the novelty has worn off? They offer Pujols 220$ over 10 years which is fine but where the fuck will they get the money and who is going to trade for him when he is 35 making 25 mill a season?

They offered CJ wilson 17 million a year. I understand people will say they can trade these guys off but like I said how are you going to trade these big ass contracts in a few years? Lets say they sign Pujols. Now you have 106+220 plus Hanleys 16 mill/. year they already have -342 million gauranteed over the next some odd years. You think anyone is going to take on Hanleys contract and attitude? Or his 16 mill a year. Sorry but if you want a SS who hasnt been that good for the last 2 years well then your an idiot!

Any answers? Where will the Marlins get the money to pay these guys when the novelty of the new park wears down? You either have the fans or you dont. And judging by the attendance the last decade they dont.

Why the Pirates are a good over play in season win totals

The Pittsburgh Pirates!!!! Thats right for the first time since giving you the Royalsl in 07 the Rays in 08 the Rangers in 09 and the Astros in '10 Im giving you two teams. I already did a write up on the Jays over 77 and now im giving you the Pittsburgh Pirates. Dont laugh because here is why

The lineup- Not sure of the batting order so ill put em where I think they would look good.

J. Tabata.- This guy may be a rising star. A probable 10-40 guy and may get there this year. I think he may be a great table setter for s decent lineup

N. Walker- This kid is pretty decent. An older Pirate who can hit .300 with maybe 15 homers and 75 RBI.

A. McCutchen- Now this guy is a star. May get to 25 home runs this year with 90 or so RBI. He has the moxie to hit .300 also. Typical Pirate that will be traded when the time comes. I envision this guy being an all star this year along with.....

P. Alvarez- Young first round pick will easily eclipse 25 home runs and could get a shot at 100 rbi. A rising star for third baseman. By next year's spring training he will be mentioned in the same breath as David Wright and others.

L. Overbay- A professional hitter wont get many home runs but he could lead the team in walks and doubles. Should drive in 70 runs with a decent .270 BA Great glove at first will save many errors in the field.

G. Jones- Not much in way of average but can or will hit you 20 home runs and drive in 80 or so.

R. Cedeno- C... [More]

A winner again!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! But it wasnt as easy as the previous 3 years. HOUSTON HITS!!!

2007 i gave you the Royals,08 I gave you the Rays. Last year I gave you the Rangers. This year...... By ragingstorm | View all Posts
Posted Wednesday, March 10, 2010 05:56 PM  24 comments Im giving you the Astros. Yup the good ol Astros OVER 74.5

Heres why the SP is better than average.

1) Wandy Rodriguez can only get better. He struck out 193 in 205 ip last year. With 14 wins he led the staff. He also allowed less than a hit an inning
2) Roy Oswalt. He was hurt most of last year and responded with his worst season ever. He will return the his previous form making him a deadly number 2 SP
3) Brett Myers will hate pitching in Houstons bandbox but Philly was no better. However the difference is that Myers will not feel quite the same pressure he did in Philly. I expect 15 wins and maybe 175 ks with no injuries.
4) Bud Norris. Believe it or not he was a top prospect for the Stros. He pitched well last year for a rook. He will get better as long as his walks get lower. He has a decent K rate and I expe ct Norris to remain in the rotation but be topped out at around 175 ip.
5) a tossup between Moeler,Pualino,Bazardo. I expect Pualino to win this battle with almost a K an inning I say he wins the 5th starter job and runs with it.. His era will be in the low 5s or high 4s. Not good... [More]

What have I learned WEEK 2 edition********************

Atl- Ari.

Derek Anderson is shot. He is not the answer to this team.
Jason Snelling is a tad short of being Michael Turner
Larry Fitzgerald is just flat out good. Give him a QB and he is still the best Wr in football

Carolina/TB

Matt Moore should say goodbye to the starting job. Welcome Mr Claussen
John Stewart is better than D Williams
Tampa Bay just won game two. They are two and oh. they will win maybe 5 games all year. They just cant win like this all season

Balt/Cincy

Joe Flacco is overrated
Ced Benson is starting his downward slide back to being Ced Benson
Koch better start punting better than a 36 yard average with this offense

KC/Cleveland

Matt Cassell is just not all that good.
Tomas Jones is the ageless wonder. He is great to have a teammate and leader
Eric Berry is the best safety in the league. Other than Ed Reed.

Dallas/Chicago

Mike Martz is doing wonders with Jay Cutler. Just what Cutler needed. Cutler will be over 4500 yards this year easily
Dez Bryant is every bit as exciting as thought.
Fire wade Phillips now before its to late

Philly/Det

Mccoy really is this good.
Jackson is a top 5 deep threat
Jahvid Best will win rookie of the year. Bank on it

GB/Buff

Buffalo will have a miserable season
Brandon Jackson is not the answer to Gb RB problem
J. Finley may be a top 5 TE already

Pitt/Tenn

Pitts D is this good and hol... [More]

My season future pick for season win totals. Its a shocker.

The Houston Texans over 8!

I love this offense. The passing game may be the best in the league outside of the Colts and Packers. Matt Schaub will throw for another 4700 yards. The sked isnt easy but I think with an underrated defense the Texans will prove to be a formidable team.

Easy game in which I expect easy wins

Kansas City, Washington, Ny Giants Jacksonville,Raiders,Denver

Games they will lose no doubt in my mind.

In Indy,Dallas, San Diego, In Jacksonville, In Tennessee

Make it or break it games. (games that will make the season.

At Home vs Indy, at Home vs Jacksonville, at home vs San Diego, Jets at Home vs tennessee, Philadelphia,Baltimore,

I think the Matt Schaub-Andre Johnson combo could go down as the best ever by the time they are done. But they also have a decent combo of 2 and 3  wr core
Look for Jacoby Jones to get alot of the secondary passes. Look for Kevin Walter to be the Texans version of Wes Welker. I think he gets 70 catches this year

The running backs aren't experienced but they should hold thier own. Arian Foster closed out the season last year in decent fashion and will start the year as their number 1 HOWEVER I expect Steve slaton  to come up big by say week 7. Those two will be a poor mans John Stewart-D Williams.

The defense took a hit with the suspension of Cushing but I think they will be fine. This is a weak spot for the team but they should be better then last ye... [More]

Thats 07-08-09 and now 2010!

1) Bourn. A base stealing threat every time he is on base. Stole 61 bags last year and even hit .285 A Perfect leadoff man. Expect Bourns average to remain about where he hit last year but Im thinking around 80 bags will be stolen
2) Pence. Hunter will be Hunter. I am stopping the Pence breakout year bandwagon I h... [More]

My MLB divisional preview: Last year I had Philly vs Yankees this year I have.........

Ok here we go

AL East:

Yankees 99-102 wins. PTW (player to watch) Cody Ransom. If he can play solid defense and maybe hit .270 it will be easier on the loss of Arod

Rays 92-95 wins PTW David Price. SP or RP he WILL make a difference.

Red Sox 90-93 wins PTW. Can Dustin Pedrioa repeat last year? I think not. The key to this team could also be the development of Jon Lester.

Orioles 70-73 wins PTW Pathetic team but with a future at catcher Matt Wieters. They say he is a cant miss kid.

Blue Jays 69-72 wins. Sorry Jays fans you will take a major step backward but the future is looking better with cant miss kid Travis Snider.

AL CENTRAL.

Twins. 90-93 wins PTW Delmon Young. This guy was supposed to be a big time home run threat. Will this be the year?

White Sox. 89-92 PTW. Carlos Quentin I really think he takes a step backward. But if he can repeat last year then maybe the Sox catch the Twins

Indians. 88-91 PTW. Can Cliff Lee go even near last year? He better becuase the staff looks crappy after that.

Royals. 81-84 PTW. I love this kid Zack Greinke. He will be a top 15 SP by years end. Bet on him early and often.

Tigers. 70-73. PTW Rick Porcello. This kid IS cant miss. all the make up of a future staff ace

AL WEST.

Rangers. 91-94 PTW. Elvis Adrus may be the key to this years suprise team. May be a good defender but can he hit enuff?

Angels 87-90 PTW. John Lackey. Can he stay he... [More]
