Looking through the forum, it was tough to find a SINGLE person on Norway or Latvia. 99% was on Canada and Russia (and that is not exaggerating) I was on Russia so I followed along.

Tomorrow it seems like the same will hold true for everyone being on Finland and Sweeden. Every single person I have seen so far betting these games are on those two teams. (and deservedly so)

The question is, will the books adjust?

Public just loves favs and "better" teams and Overs, the way they played out in preliminary round yesterday, yes books got pounded. Favs covered 2 out of 3 yesterday and i saw plenty of guys gearing for heavy actions on favs for today. A couple of dogs come alive today will save books for the day, books will feel good with 1-1. They charge us vig.

The books are allright.  Hockey is such a small hold for them and Olympic hockey doesn't even register on the radar.

Also a number of the books lower the limits for it.

But it's good to see board hitting it as much as they can.

I expect at least one dog to come alive today, the question is which one? I have no clue, so I'm staying away after taking RUS/CAN in a smallish parlay yesterday...

Don't forget these oddsmakers are just feeling shit out right now. They prob don't have a handle on these games YET. I've got a feeling they will sooner then later.

Anyway let's take advantage of the cheddar for now because it's only gonna get tougher.

Canada was a 6 goal favorite against Norway.

6 goals!!!

Thats f-ing ridiculous. If the worst team in the NHL plays the best team in the NHL, the best team will be about even money at -1.5 goals. Canada was even money at -6.

I'm not sure how many people paid that kinda price. I knew Canada was almost certainly going to win, but 6 goals is ridiculous.

Look at what the Swiss traditionally do against the Americans.  They always play them tough.  Always.  +3.5 was a gift as the books knew everyone and their father would be on the Americans.

Books always adjust after the first few days.

Every year in World Championships, World Jr.'s, or Olympics it seems the first few days are the best, by the eliminations it will get tough.  There are still a lot of good bets in these tournaments though.
