No NFC 6th Seed has ever made it to the Super Bowl. Only one has ever made it to the NFC Championship.
No AFC 5th Seed has ever won the Super Bowl. Only one 5th Seed has made it to the Super Bowl & that was New England in the 1985-86 season. Only four 5th seeds have even made it to the AFC Championship.
The 6th seed has been around since 1990, the 5th seed has been around since 1978.

AFC East
New England Patriots
Miami Dolphins
New York Jets
Buffalo Bills
The Patriots had the 5th best points against in the NFL last season. That's because Bill Belichick is the best defensive minded head coach in the NFL. This is also the season Patriots fans have been waiting for since Brady was injured. A full season under his belt, time to shine. They're also under the radar which seems to fuel the Patriots every year. The Dolphins rebound from last year's sophomore slump. Hell, I could see these 2 playing in Week 17 on the Sunday Nighter to determine who wins the division. Wid Card nod to Miami. Jets enter their sophomore season, history & statistics say they'll take a step back this year before propelling forward next season. And the Bills....they might win two games. Might.
AFC North
Baltimore Ravens
Pittsburgh Steelers
Cincinnati Bengals
Cleveland Browns
The Ravens are the class of the NFL. With Hiush added to the receiving core, they now have a scary passing game to go with a great rushing game & a scary defense. Watch out. Steelers and Bengals may both end up 8-8 as Cincy enters their sophomore season and the Steelers....I just dont like what they've lost. And the Browns.
AFC South
Houston Texans
Indianapolis Colts
Tennessee Titans
Jacksonville Jaguars
Yes thats right I have the Texans win... [More]

So the Browns release Derek Anderson & he lashes out by sayign that Cleveland doesnt deserve a winner & that he'll never forget being cheered when he was injured.
Then he apologizes for saying it. Why would you apologize? There are 32 teams in this league and he will NEVER play with cleveland again so who gives a fuck what browns fans think of him?
I'm getting tired of the daily apologies that athletes make to try and smooth over something harsh they've said. If you ask me, I have even less respect for them when they apologize. A few harsh words here & there makes things interesting, why does everyone need to be in love with each other?

NFL Tiebreaking rules state that standings shall be deemed by winning percentage & not by record. When teams have the same winning percentage, the following tiebreakers shall be used:
First, any teams that are tied within the same division, must be seperated by the following tiebreakers:
1) Head-to-Head
2) Best winning percentage within division
3) Best winning percentage in common games
4) Best winning percentage in conference games
5) Strength of Victory
After seperating the division teams, we break ties for conference standings....
1) Head-to-Head
2) Best winning percentage within conference
3) Best winning percentage in common games, minimum of 4
4) Strength of victory
That means that if there are 6 teams tied with the same winning percentage and there are 2 from 3 different divisions, the tie breaker for the division must be made first and the losers of the tiebreakers fall down 3 spots and are put in to a tiebreaker with other division tiebreaker losers. So, here are the current OFFICIAL standings.....
AFC
1) 9-0 Tennessee
2) 6-3 Pittsburgh [PIT (.833) has better conference percentage than NE (.571)...PIT defeated BAL in Week 4]
3) 6-3 New England [NE defeated NYJ in Week 2]
4) 5-4 Denver
5) 6-3 Baltimore [BAL (.667) has better conference percentage than NYJ (.571)]
6) 6-3 New York J.
7) 5-4 Indianapolis [IND (.600) has better conference percentage than MIA (.571)]<...
