This is the worst the Celtics have played in the playoffs and its 2-2....

There has been 16 quarters of basketball played in this series, and Boston has played well in MAYBE five of them...they're shooting horrible, their passes are off target, their interior defense has been VERY poor, they are missing layups, garnett has been terrible in most of the games and Rondo can't make a free throw.

This is the WORST basketball the Celts have played in the entire 2010 playoffs, yet they are a home win Sunday from being up 3-2 heading back to LA....If the Celts can right this ship right now and play CELTICS BASKETBALL in game 5 I think LA is in serious trouble...especially because Boston for some strange reason is playing well away from home this postseason...I think its obvious whoever wins game 5 wins the series, and i'm thinking Boston will finally put together 4 quarters of great basketball in game 5 and be up 3-2 heading back to LA.

Just a homers 2 cents.

Your dead right bro. The Lakers blew last night big time.

I agree totally. Did you see how many layups Boston missed ? They are due for a better than average game . I also do expect a game 5 Boston Celtic win !   Boston -3.0  Risk 880.00 to win 800.00

i have been doing my best to keep my lips sealed... but you are dead on...

last night, Boston completely dominated the Lakers... i mean that was complete and utter domination... i saw two teams that are miles apart...

the Celtics had open shots all night long, but couldn't hit the ocean... meanwhile, the Lakers offense was non-existent... but they kept getting these miracle bail out shots the entire game...

if the two teams reverse their shooting, that is a 20-30 point win last night...

IF Boston gets their shit together and brings an A game to this series... LA has ZERO chance of winning...

The celtics finally dominated the boards!  They sat Kendrick Perkins and the bench finally hit some free throws and layups.

The keys for the Celtics are:

1) Tony or Ray Allen must cover Kobe

2) Rondo needs to push the ball most of the game (he needs to be rested to keep up this pace all game - enter Nate Robinson)

3) Glen Davis is equal to or better then Perkins.  Perkins is only a Defensive player.

4) Limit Lakers to one shot.

5) GO TO THE HOOP.  Points in the paint are killing the lakers.  Allen, Pierce, Rondo, Garnet, Big Baby -- can all score in the paint and hit free throws.

6) Take advantage of Derek Fishers defense - Rondo and Ray Allen can take advantage of him.

7) Let Ron Artest shoot.  Anyone guarding Artest can help out the other Celtics on D.

This is also the worst the Lakers have played in the playoffs...Either team is capable of winning...saying either team has no shot at winning is incorrect as this series could go either way. If either team brings their A game they will win, it's that simple. If they both bring it, it will be down to the wire. While the Celtics have better overall talent and a better bench...they do not have Kobe Bryant which evens things out between the two teams...

totally disagree with you... if the Cs play their A game it doesn't matter what game LA brings... i have seen more than enough to know that much...

i think you're right... refs should get out of the way for the most part, now that it's guaranteed to go 6 games... and both teams should raise their level... so i think the best team is going to win...

Its no coincidence that Boston has been playing terrible- they are playing another tough team called the Lakers.  Lakers look way better than Boston, but made a few crucial mistakes which ended in 2 losses.

Its funny that people think Boston has been playing horrible for no reason- there is a reason- its called the Lakers.

tjohnsont says:

Lakers go better talent- Boston used to have better talent.  Boston only has more experience.

Lakers can easily beat Boston only if they keep playing their A game with Bynum.  Boston has brought their A game- thats the best they can do.  Boston can only hope that Lakers don't wake up to play.  Boston is already maxed out.

you really REALLY need to learn how to watch the game of basketball...

game 4 was the most dominating single digit win i've ever seen in the NBA... Celtics are putting on a defensive clinic against the Lakers... and it isn't going to get any better...

Kobe's numbers are off and his turnovers are up against Boston. This is coming down to Bynum's health.

One word on why the Lakers will lose this serie.  "BENCH", LA has no bench.  They depend to much on Kobe and Pau for their scoring.
baller909 says:

Game 5, The Big three will play there combined best. Allen will get out of his slump , Pierce will score 20 +, KG 10 boards +, and Rondon 12 assists +. With a little balance attack and help from the bench , this will help Boston defeat LA .

Both teams are not playing at best.

If Both teams play to their potential....Lakers would run over Boston easily....

Taking Lakers for my next game:small play here till head Home in LA....

Everyone knows that Lakers have the better team and obvious advantage.  The pros know that too.  There's no denying that.  And if Boston wins it, then it says more about Boston than just talent.

Game 4 was dominating?  You got to be kidding me.  Its a game of runs.  A few Boston bench players stepped up- so big deal, its not a consistent showing.  Just because lightning struck once doesn't mean its gonna always be like that.

You the one that needs to learn how to watch ball.  You seem to love making the dumbest comments.

tjohnsont says:

All of them.  Watch the game, its obvious.  Boston has been consistent in pretty much all the games.   Laker's inconsistencies have hurt them.

Why isn't anyone giving the defenses any credit for how poorly both offenses are playing?
Rivers should have confidence in his bench and that will hurt the Lakers a bit because aside from Odom the Lakers are a 5 man team. It only benefits the Celtics starters to be able to sit on the bench for a 6-15 minute stretch between the 3rd and 4th quarters. If Bynum doesn't play 30 or more minutes tonight I think the Celtics will win by 15.

honestly, i don't care about you making aliases, or why you do it... but i know you have made 4 posts on this one... and they are all lengthy rants towards me, so...

that's not about ego, that's just about reality...

Ice4Blood says:

because people are stupid and don't know what they are watching when they watch a basketball game...

Boston played a D basketball game on Thursday, and kicked the Lakers ass... that's what i know!

tjohnsont says:
06/13/10 12:50PM

People obviously know this is a D game thats why no one really mentions it.  Why mention the obvious.  How stupid would it be to mention something that everyone obviously knows.  Do you know that the earth is round or the sky is blue?  thugh!!

tjohnsont says:
06/13/10 11:27AM

Come on guy, come out of fantasy land and face reality.  Lakers have basically lead all 4 games going into the 4th quarter.  That tells you alot- it for sure tells you that Boston has to come from behind every game to try to steal it.
