How will the Titans do in 2009?

How do you guys think the Titans will do this year after losing Big Al.  As a Rutgers student and Titans fan, I couldn't be happier that we drafted Kenny Britt as a big-time WR that has been missing from the offense.  The defensive line concerns me a little bit because of so many untested players stepping in at tackle, hopefully Jason Jones and Marks will be able to fill in

Pittsburgh is gonna put it on the Titans. Period. And bookiekilla, if you honestly think the Steelers and Mike Tomlin isn't gonna use the Titan's disrespect last season as fire fuel, it's you that doesn't know much about football. I guarantee you Tomlin will have them watching tape on the last year's terrible towel disrespect all week leading up to the game.

Let's see. Home opener for the Super Bowl champions on national TV against a team that openly disrespected them last season. The entire city of Pittsburgh is gonna be foaming at the mouth for this one and payback is a mutha. Pittsburgh is the most physical and ruthless team in the league, and there will be consequences, repurcussions and punishment handed out on Sept. 10th.

Steelers all day.

LOL

You're hilarious. I'm not a homer. I'm not even a Steelers fan, and I live nowhere near the steel city.

Secondly, if you really think the Steelers are gonna let the Titans of all teams spoil their opening day party, it's you that's the sucker.

And bookiekilla, you say I don't know what I'm talking about huh.

I'm willing to bet that I've played more downs of football my junior year of high school than you have in your entire life,

bookkiekilla = Titans fan and got all excited about last year ... can you please remind me of previous years before? I didn't remember anything spectacular

Just calm it down... for an almost ''perfect'' team they were not so perfect not going to the SB. Point is made and was made when the Pats were having their perfect season... what counts is SuperBowl... did the Titans won it last year? No. Did they improve in the off season. No. Titans were good because of their defense and now they just lost major piece of it.. and don't expect a relatively ''unknown'' WR rookie to take the load of a poor offense! C'MON OPEN YOUR EYES FFS! Not saying Titans are going to be bad but I doubt they will be as good as last year.

DU4L, I may be biased as a Titans fan, but I would not recommend betting the under for season wins on this team.  The offense has one of most solid lines in football and they added Kenny Britt from my school to a sub-par recieving group, adding Jared Cook from South Car. as a weapon at TE.  The Defensive line will have adequate depth to keep players fresh and the secondary is solid.  I see the Titans with 10-11 wins.

Titans UNDER

Kerry Collins is STILL Kerry-fucking-Collins.  Remember that when teams load the box to stop their running game.

NASHVILLE, Tenn. -- Those of us hoping not to talk much Terrible Towel until the Titans-at-Steelers season opener Sept. 10 in Pittsburgh are out of luck.

To recap: Keith Bulluck famously stomped a Terrible Towel with LenDale White and others on the Tennessee sideline at the conclusion of the Titans' regular season win over Pittsburgh last December.

Friday after an OTA practice, someone asked the right question and Bulluck reached into his locker to dig out a note and a commemorative Super Bowl XLIII Terrible Towel.

The note he held up read: "The Steelers Nation would like to present you with our new Terrible Towel. Hang this up in your locker room. Sincerely, the Black and Gold. P.S. Hope you enjoyed the Super Bowl."

"So you tell me if I'm on their mind," Bulluck said. "Look at the date, it's like a week and a half after they won the Super Bowl. So you tell me if I'm a marked man. You know what? I can't wait until we go to Pittsburgh."

"...With all due respect, after we win I definitely will not be stomping on any towels, that's just utter disrespect. The only reason why it happened is because they came into our house waving their 15,000 towels or whatever. They travel well. A proud organization, the Steeler Nation. But I'm not too worried about it."

He joked that he might take the towel with him and bury it in Pittsburgh.

"No return address, I'm going to return it to the rightful owner," he said. "I'll get it back to them, I don't really want it.

White talked of his long history of stomping towels.

"I'm a professional towel stomper," White said. "My nickname is LenDale 'The Towel Stomping' White. I've seen the big Ben Roethlisberger sandwich on TV. So if anybody wants to freeze it and send one over, I'll be more than happy to eat it."

And you still think that towel-stomping incident doesn't matter and isn't gonna factor into the emotion of the 1st game? And you don't think the Steelers haven't seen this article, and made copies of it? Keep playing dumb all you want.......

Let these guys keep betting early season games and depleating their bankroll on the guessing games instead of waiting until the team profiles and the real numbers/stats come in,  and the whos who shows up. Thats when the real betting starts and the guessing  games end.

Good point

Oh boy.

The first few weeks are the best time to make money and get excellent value on the lines for reasons mentioned in post #30.
