Detroit would have been the system pick Tuesday -- and lost.
I didn't like them nearly as much as
Tampa or
Philly -- who both covered.
(This makes the top-favorite-in-August 13-7, +6.3. Not bad, but not nearly as much as our the plays have done that people look into and have some reasoning behind. Maybe all this handicapping we do makes a difference.)

Getting late in the month, guys --
Yesterday's favorite picks did okay --
Giants win was ugly --
Tampa Rays failed to cover --
System 13-6 now, + 7.3 (remember, we do not endorse or oppose this, but do report on it knowing some are interested) --
and so now it's

Monday's "system play" (runline the longest favorite on the board daily in August) would have been the
White Sox, who failed to cover, making it 13-5 and +8.3.
(Candidly, I didn't like this one, and laid off, but I know there's value in a system, and that some of us in the thread follow it.)
On to Tuesday...

Looking good for Sunday guys -- I'll sum up our day later, but in the meantime, here's a space for getting

Good day again yesterday guys -- the
Cards covered, as did the
Cubs, Angels, Rays, and
Rangers -- the lattermost as pretty big underdogs.
The
"system" (which we don't support or oppose, but which I know interests
some) is now 12-4, and + 8.9 units on a one-unit-per-day application.

Good day again yesterday guys -- the
Cubs and
Cards covered, I know they were my two faves.
The "system" (which we don't support or oppose, but which I know interests some) is now 11-4, and + 8.1 units on a one-unit-per-day application.
On to Saturday....

Great day yesterday fellas -- 2-0 on our big picks (Phillies and Rockies), with a lot of sentiment for the Yankees, who also covered.
(The "system," which we don't endorse or decline, is now 10-4, and plus 7 units at one unit risked each day.)
On to Friday...

Great day Wednesday guys --
The "system" pick, for those who care, was
St. Louis, and won, making the thing 9-4.
Of the other picks we discussed,
Boston was 59's two-star play, and covered easily --
As did
Colorado, Atlanta and
Texas (which wound up a narrow game favorite, and nice fat runline underdog).
Florida didn't cover, or win for that matter, and a lot of people liked the Marlins; the
Yankees failed to cover -- but sentiment on the latter was split.
Looking at tomorrow, the system pick would be the
Rockies again, with Marquis against Maholm for the Pirates.
Which means, of course:
on to Thursday...

Well, a good day for our thread Tuesday --
the Yankees, which were both the biggest fave on the board and the consensus pick of the bloggers I'd say, won and covered.
(The system, for those who care, is now a respectable 8-4, pretty profitable considering it's usually a narrow favorite or at times an outright underdog).
On to
Wednesday...
