Disturbing to think the best player in the world has to get these kinds of advances to have a stake his online nose-bleed games.

What does this tell us?

1. It is now clear as to why Ivey ditched the 2011 WSOP. If he's in tournaments there with the poker media and 10,000 players, many with potential frozen funds in Full Tilt, the harassment/questioning would be relentless given he is the figurehead of the site.

2. His bankroll has been rumored to be anywhere from $30 to $50 million. He hasn't paid this money back because he simply doesn't have to.

3. The online stakes are ridiculously out of control. Top pros should be practicing bankroll management so they can remain top pros. $1,000/$2,000 Heads up Pot Limit Omaha is a game that should never should be played but is routinely done so by the likes of Ivey, Dwan, Ziigmund, and Benyamine etc. Why? These pros can make a fantastic living at $100/$200 NL hold 'em yet can't control there gambling addiction.

Gonna have to give Ivey a big  for not getting these funds (funds that belong to the players at this point) into some account for eventual dissemination to the players.

The article you referenced in your story shed some light on what you were trying to bring attention to in your incessant rambling. Please use spell check or at least write in a coherent fashion, I mean this is the equivalent of listening to Boomhower on the 6 oclock news. Beyond useless speculation you didn't add anything to the article you were referencing, other than pointing out in your next to last sentence that you are gonna give Ivey a "BIG." Got a hard on for em eh?

Is this guy trying to say that some players could lose thier money because of this?

I think Ivey's account at FT has also been frozen along with all us U.S. players. So FT will get their money out of Ivey one way or another.

Well this is telling us that good players know how to lose at poker also. Poker Pro's go through losing slumps like the rest of us and this is normal. Like you were saying, Money Management is the key and they should lower the stakes a bit so that they can catch up. I did not us espell check!!

Damn I'm tired of seeing this on Top Member Blogs.. That being said I want to take a moment here to use some common sense and get both sides of the tape. Please read the linked article from a reputable source, namely ESPN.

Whether or not Phil Ivey is masquerading as a benevolent table buddy or he is keeping the money, it doesn't make a diddly damn to me. Tiltware owes its players some $150 million. Phil Ivey's $6 million out in loan cannot repay 4% of whats owed. Gotta admit I'd be pissed off too if Tiltware was pointing a finger at me after I filed suit with the courts for smearing my reputation with the poker public.

To claim any of this is Phil's fault and that he is hindering efforts to return money to players is ludicrous in my mind. I mean seriously is it Phil's responsibility to return all his pay from Fulltilt bc they are less than fiduciary? I don't work for free... do you? Maybe your cool with hanging the messenger for his 4% in back loans, me personally I'd rather hang the criminal who owes the other 96%. Propaganda is a useful ally against the weak minded, I'm not swayed by Tiltware's allegations proposed at diverting attention. Seriously 4% or 96%, you do the math!

I wonder how much Ivey was down??  I never thought that guy would ever need to borrow money.

He's a great poker player second, a degenerate gambler first.

All you ever hear the media and other poker players saying is how much money ivey has and all the things hes buying with his money.  Really have to question how great this guy really is especially if he needs to borrow this amount of money.

That's the reputation he has in Vegas...and a first class jerk on top of it.

Exactly

It all depends on his share of ownership , in stock or as a partner ( don't know how they have him set up) It's Full Tilts problem and their responsible for getting whatever what Ivey and others owe.
