I like the Eagles -3, but what's up with this line? Makes me think something is up?

Packers won week 1, but this is a different Philly team.

What do you think is wrong with the line? I think people will be split pretty evenly on this game. So Philly is giving a field goal at home.

I agree with the spread, but why the +110 number, it's like they are asking for money on the Eagles.

Try and interpret these numbers...

Not all books are giving 3...  bodog has typically square action so this weighted more against PHI (public team)... so smart bettors are thinking to play money on GB +3 on a  public site...

and then smart bettors on PHI are at 5 dimes (sharps site) taking the 1.5 number...

So bodog and other public sites shift their odds to avoid you trying to middle...  dont look at PHI, but look at GB -130...

Now look at 5 dimes... and dont look at the GB +105 "asking you" to take it but at the fact that the PHI -1.5 bet is at -130 odds...

Starting to see the bigger picture here?

I think it's teaser-related. The books are expecting Philly to be heavily teased going into the weekend. The books play their teasers off their actual lines. So, in the case of Philly, the books don't want Philly teased 6 points from Phi -2.5 to get Phi +3.5. So they move the line from Phi -2.5 to Phi -3. That way Philly teased 6 points is Phi +3 instead of Phi +3.5. Same for 10-pt teasers. You get Phi +7 instead of Phi +7.5.
