That dude thinks Tony Allen is a top 5 defender in the NBA. He should get banned from sports forever for even thinking that. Kobe just had 30 points. That's it, along with a Celtics ass whopping
BOL Another 12 days and the Lakers will be 2010 Champs
SC... just stay tuned...
Screw the special. They could be selling the wheel chairs at a premium and KG will be 1st in line waiting for store opening. Lol.
i see lambs to the slaughter...
All players miss dunks from time to time, how many NBA games have you watched, wow, talk about a over-reaction to one play !!
KG clearly lost control of the ball on the way up, it had nothing to do with his knees.
Celtics played about as bad as they possibly could, Pierce and Allen 0-6 from 3 pt land and Allen being in foul trouble didn't help.
They'll make adjustments and bring a different game in game 2.
Amazing. Lambs to the Slaughter? The Celtics will fold? Doc Rivers has no answer? Veterans throw the towel in? KG needs a wheel chair?
Game 2 - Celtics +6. Wait since the Celtics are done after game one ...Line will likely be 8 points by Sunday game time. Celtics +8.
That's my first reaction after reading the analysis of the OP.
1 - Rondo was abusing Bryant on offense early because Bryant is a poor help defender and kept losing track of him. Rondo made a mistake by not taking more jump shots to keep Bryant honest.
2- Fisher guarding Allen? The only thing that kept Ray Allen from scoring 20 was the fact that he spent half of the game on the bench.
The Lakers won because they outrebounded Boston and played smart, team oriented basketball on offense. When the Lakers started to revert back to Bryant ball, the Celtics made a run.
The Celtics are the better team in this series. The Lakers have the most talent and better coaching staff but if the Celtics don't fold from Game 1, they'll be ok.
You'd have to be an absolute IDIOT to think Allen was gonna come close to what he did in game 2.
I see that the squares continue to be the loudest amongst the no knowledge fans that post here.
Rajon Rondo - EFG% for mid range shots 2009-2010: .511
LOL... So teams want a guy that shot 51% from 11-19 feet taking those jumpers?
Teams played off of him because they're too slow to keep him in front of the on ball defender and a PG that is able to penetrate will collapse the defense and cause open looks (The same thing the Lakers did to the Celtics to build their lead).
Have you ever played basketball before, dullard?
It's just funny to me how guys like to claim a series is over after 1 game. I guess it makes them feel happier or more confident about their teams chances. And I actually like the Lakers more than the Celtics.
It's important because for the Celtics to win they'll have to win 4 out of the next 6 games, 3 of which will be on the road and anyone that has followed professional sports knows that that is one of the toughest things to do.
That being said, the outlier is this year's Celtics team. 1st team in NBA History to have a better road record than home record, one of the only teams in NBA History to make it to the Finals without a member on the all NBA teams, and one of the only teams in NBA History to eliminate the 1st, and 2nd best teams in the league on the way to winning a title.
So is the 70% stat statistically significant? Based on the numbers, I'd say NO, it is not.
victory nor defeat...Big Hat, No Cattle...... P.S. work on your vocabulary.
Heard of finals jittery?? That's what both teams had except for the fact that Lakers looked beyond that. They are still working off that humiliation and getting pushed around from the 08 series. Lakers do remember that. However, do they have a different plan? Other than the fact that both teams were anxious and Lakers having been to the finals last year it's clear in their minds about what to do. Celtics still have to get in the zone. I expect Celtics to come out as strong as ever game 2, but if they don't get it done, yeah Lakers win this year.
Ice4Blood
so you have determined all this from just one game!!!...what did you determine when the celtics got down 2-1 in the cavs series and they were coming off a 124-95, ...29 point drubbing ....what a bleak outlook.....then what happened to the supposedly best team in the nba...they beat the cavs 3 straight to win the series...but now you determine that the celtics will get blown away by the lakers....and possibly a sweep....what planet are you from?????you are in for a crude awakening buster!....this series has "7" written all over it...and the celts will definitely bounce back for some wins...hope you dont lose too much money over the next couple of weeks!!....one game does not a series make!
can someone make this 12 year old stop making posts......????
anybody????
geeeeeeeeez,,,,,this is the bad thing about summer,,,,,,,, the kiddies are all on the loose...........
Rondo triple double in game 2!
Celtics to win this series vs lakers, and Rondo to get MVP of the series is how i see it.
i see a pretty even matchup, but i think the Celtics have the better bench- the celtics are more deep, and i think Boston wins this seres.
the lakers are way overprised, the lakers are a very good team, but the odds on the series are way slanted with the lakers given up to much juice, and the celtics getting much more plus money than i think they should be.
so i took the celtics in the series at plus 160,
for a even series getting plus 160 is great value, and i like my ticket.
the lakers at -190, are you kidding me, you lose almost double the money you risk betting the lakers! if they lose, and take home only just over half what you risk if they win.
no way, no wise player would lay that juice on this series,
and no decent hanicaper would think either team would sweep, this is a very close matchup and series.
the celtics plus 160 was the only way to play this series, you either take the celtics and the plus money, or you stay off,
you stay OFF the lakers at -190,
man you would have thought people would have learned after losing big backing the lakers minus even more than two to one two years ago, but i guess not,
some people still think lakers would sweep, win hands down, and risk two to one odds, that is poor judgement, very poor,
and if the lakers lose, you will lose alot of your hard earned money, and if they win, you only get just over half of what you had to risk.... come on, wake up!
and start betting with your head, not over it, and start handicapping and practicing money mangemanet, before you lose your house!
see you in another lifetime brother, good luck
hi there!
Ice4blood,
I don't know how something that happens 70% of the time can be considered irrelevant. I'm not a math major but I'll assume anything that happens 70% of the time is more likely to happen than something that happens 30% of the time.
The Celtics are not out of the series but there's a reason why teams who win game 1 of the Finals win the championship 70% of the time.....because the better team generally asserts itself in game 1.
GO LAKERS !
Can anyone else explain to me how 70% of the teams that wins game 1 of the finals is an irrelevant statitistic ? I would like to bet on the Lakers to win the series but would like to know when is the percentage on my side or if there's anytime a percentage favors the Lakers to win the series.
Ice4blood hasn't responded.
I hope you didn't spend all that clean up money JohnJoe. I can see the Lakers winning 1 more in Boston before wrapping it up in LA.
lakers win the series.. They won game 3 and stats are on the lakers..
