Flyers @ +468 in Game 6.... $350 to win $1.638... What to do

If you read my other thread you know that I have a matchbook account and some people screwed up last after the 1st intermission thinking that market was an in-game market instead of the market for game 6. Bottom line i now have $350 to win $1.638 on the flyers on Wednesday night.

So my question is what should I do:

1.) Lay it off evenly and take my roughly $700 of free money.

2.) Lay off just the $350 or a little more and have a sizeable free bet to win on the Flyers.

3.) Lay off most of it on the Hawks and have a sizeable free bet on the Hawks.

I am really torn here, on the one side a free $700 is very nice to my bankroll (i have been cold so my bankroll has reverted to a grand) and that same note I lean Philly and could easily cancel out the $350 and essentially have the Flyers risking $0 to win $1,300 and double up my bankroll in one night if they win. It is going to be a long two days trying to decide what to do.

Teams you don't want to see your team play in the playoffs

we are all fans first, so list your team and the teams you don't want to see them play in the playoffs.

Buffalo

Ottawa and Montreal

Ottawa because the Sabres have just always struggled against them, seems like no matter what the senators are going to give the Sabres fits.

Montreal because they seem to be catching fire and the right time, this team makes me nervous, they could do some damage in a best of seven series.

No Suspension for Flyers' Mike Richards

http://www.nhl.com/ice/news.htm?id=503513

at what point are these dumbass players going to stop trying to cause physical harm to one another. I am sorry but there is no way you can tell me that Richard's intent was anything but to injury. This is identical to the hit on Drury, just flat out intent to injury. But when Downie did something similar to Neil and Richards he got the the book thrown at him. Difference being Downie was a rookie with a troubled past and Niel and Richards are seen as fan favorites are they respective teams.

Potential 8 Day Layoff for Cup Finals

according to NHL live this afternoon, the league has said the earliest the Stanley Cup Playoffs can start is Friday June 5th. If both teams wrap up their series by Wednesday the NHL could have a 8 day layoff before the Stanley Cup Finals start.

This is just another example of Buttman trying to please an audience that isn't interested in the sport and kiss network ass. If this shit happens I will be so pissed, the question though is what to do about it, I can't possible stop watching hockey.

Overated Goalie

i debated with myself whether or not to post this because i am fearful the ranger fans and devil fans will hijack this thread and turn it into a bitching contest, but I have decided to open this up for discussion hoping it won't happen.   i have always felt like Henrik Lundqvist is one of the more overated goalies in the NHL to begin with. So after reading game wrap-ups after game 2 & 3 it further drove home my point.   The game 2 wrap-up suggested Henrik was amazing and that the only reason the rangers won that game was because of his amazing goaltending. Then I read game 3 and it suggesting the Henrik had no chance on any of the goals and the reason the rangers lost was because of the piss poor performance by the defence.   The love fest the media has with this guy is sickening, when the rangers win it is because Henrik Lundqvist is an amazing goaltender who is top 3 in the league and when the rangers lose it is because the defence in front of him played horribly and he had no chance.   I just think that Henrik Lundqvist is overated and not even a top 5 goaltender in the league. His numbers benefit from playing in a system with a strong defense that keeps shots to the outside and clogs the middle preventing the cross-ice pass (which I believe is his biggest weakness, moving side to side.) I think he would have a GAA above 3 if he had to go play for a team like Buffalo or Atlanta, that doesn't play good defense.   So do you agree or... [More]
