3-2 +1.88 LW
21-21-1 +0.36 TYD
#1 Navy +4 2.2
I was on Rutgers and against Navy last week, winning both. This week I'm backing Navy. The spot was a bad one for Navy who lost in OT to their rival AF. A hangover was predicted. Meanwhile, Rutgers off their creaming of Pitt as a 6 pt dog gets Navy sandwiched in between Big East conference play with a trip to Louisville on deck where they are sure to be looking to avenge a 40-13 ass whoopin' last year in Piscataway.

6-4 +1.93 LW16-9-2 +6.73 YTD
Unders came back in a hurry in week 3, after overs had their run the opening two weeks.
Here are the plays this week:
1:00's
Cinci +3 and ml .8/1.08
Sure Buffalo is the darling of the league right now, but did ya know that Cinci has the 3rd ranked D in the league? I smell a let down on the road after upsetting NE
ST Louis +3 and ml .8/1.04
Terrible spot for Wash. The week after Dallas and before the bye and having to prepare on a short week. I can't imagine everyone will be on the same page here vs a desperate Rams team getting Stephen Jackson back.
Pitt/Hou over 44.5
Pitt's Def is not what it used to be. Texans hold various weapons and can dictate pace. Having Arian Foster will help them stay balanced.
4:00's
AZ +1.5
NY is still not well enough to be laying points vs a Card's team who I got a feeling get on track with a signature effort. 2nd straight roadie for NY, made more difficult by traveling to the far west.
Leaving room for another play and the Sunday nighter where i think i like the over and the Jets. Still have to look at a few more things. ...

I don't ever play futures, but i do like one this year...
Baltimore to win the Super Bowl 1/10
Thursday
#1 Minn/NO under 24.5 1st half 1.1/1
BOL to all this season and may all your wagers win (except where we disagree of course)

1 unit = avg play
2 unit = above avg play
3 unit = top play
BOL to all this season
First couple of weeks, I like to look for returning classes, qb's and coaches. This 1st thursday matchup features the Ute's, who bring back many from both sides of the ball and their QB. You can bet that Boise St will be competing against the Utes this yr in the beauty contest that is the "polls" where both will be wanting to prove they're worthy of bcs consideration.
This game is a virtual pickem. Slight edge to Utah for experience. No one gets blown out here, So ball possesion and keep-away will be the game plan for the victor. With that, I'm taking;
Utah/Pitt under 49.5 for 2.1 units.
should a couple more plays this weekend.

I know it's old news, but i'm glad the worldwide leader has stepped up and started showing some intl soccer and not just some more 1st take, sportsnation, or whatever other b.s. filler programming they can put together
GL to us all Futbolistas!
Newcastle +1.5/2 1.03/1 Sure Man U have looked good and Rooney and the rest of the team will have something to prove this season, but I don't expect a rout of 3 or more goals to start the season. Maybe I have something against these uber public teams (Cowboys, Yankees, Notre Dame), but I think the price here favors the dog.

While you and your cronies from the rules committee get together after the WC to discuss implementing instant replay and using some of this 21 century technology like every other sport has been able to do, how about you do something about CHANGING THE OT RULES!
It is a joke that any championship gets decided by the randomness of PK's. It can't be good for the sport to have 2 of the last 4 championships decided in this manner. The process of getting to this moment for both teams is long and arduous journey and is unfair to both teams to be decided like this.
My solution;
instead of 2 - 15 min periods, we make it 3 periods of 15 with a couple modifications;
1) After the 1st OT period, both teams loose one player making it a 10 v 10 game, except for red carded teams who will maintain being a man down.
2) After the 2nd OT period, both teams loose another player, but get one addtional sub to use, making it a 9v9 game.
3) At the end of 3 OT periods with both sides having 9 players each, the game goes to PK's.
If at the end of any period a team is winning, the game is over. So it's still not sudden death, but it's more of a "sooner death"
With these rules modifications, you can say you've tried to have the game settled on the field, which would be a victory a sport that should never want to see it's championship decided on PK's.

Last played the Aussie Open. Feels like a year ago. Haven't really been keeping up, only really start to pay attention here as this tourney is the sweet spot to the tennis season. not gonna be afraid to fade most americans here in France, except for Serena who's a better value than Henin. There are plenty of other cappers 'round here who i'll be leaning on for insight as we go from here.
early rounds in majors can be a great opportunity to scoop up some nice dogs. Let's get some
props to win;

Is Jim Bunning a hero or goat?
in case you need a refresher:
http://news.google.com/news?q=jim%20bunning&oe=utf-8&rls=org.mozilla:en-US:official&client=firefox-a&um=1&ie=UTF-8&sa=N&hl=en&tab=wn
My two cents: I am amazed that he is the lone voice saying "how are we going to pay for that?"
Remember, democrats are the ones that professed "pay-as-you-go" legislation. Even his own party in his own state has alienated him.
He's only stepping out because he's not running for reelection. Think about it. We have to manage our budgets in the household. Our localities, our cities, our counties, our states, our local businesses have to manage our budgets. We can't operate in deficits year after year. Why can the federal government?
Do you think he'd be the only one if others didn't have to worry about getting reelected?

It's an utter travesty that we got 3 undefeated teams with no shot at the title, including Cinci who's from a BCS conference and Boise beating Oregon and TCU beating Clemson and UVA on the road, both BCS schools! This is akin to class warfare, the case of the have's vs the have-nots. The revolution is coming...
In the meantime, here at Covers.com we'll give them a chance to play it out in what a semifinal would look like. Since the school presidents can't agree to have a playoff, we'll do one here...
TCU at BAMA -10
Cinci at TX -7

So we got maui, 2k, nit and paradise jam action for the day games plus some regular night games. Not sure what the day will bring but one jumped out at me...
Vandy -4 over Cinci
Cinci's perimeter D is 'bout to get hosed. Cinci is allowing a league worst 11.5 3 pointers and 46%, and that was against the might Toledo and Praire View . Vandy's hitting 53% fg's and 40% from 3pt after their two vs St Mary's and Lipscomb.

I'll be headed to the DC United game tonight and was going to make a play on the game. Click
here for a preview
There's a revenge factor here since DC United last lost to this team in PA two years ago as their only loss to a USL level or lower team. Add to the fact that this same United side struggled for 60 minutes, and needed some starters to enter game to get some goals. They just played on the road on Saturday, but HC Sohn probably would include more starters this time around.
Bottom line - DC's reserves struggled against the all amateur side and now gets Harrisburg, who by the way, knocked-off another MLS team last week in the New England Rev's. This team has moxy and has what it takes to make it interesting.
The plays under consideration;
draw +350
under +115
As i recall, they have needed overtime before to close out these games, so right now i have a slight lean towards the draw.

Tonight we definitely have the Cav's in a must win. Think they do get this, but I don't think they'll cover the #.

Win or go home. That's what we got tonight. Too bad this is not for the cup. Did anyone not think this would go 7 games? Caps are a short -130 favorite. i saw on this morning's paper that home teams win game 7's 63%. Caps history in game 7's is not good. Fortunately, most of that futility cannot be attributed to these players.
Caps continue getting outshot by the pens and continue being shorthanded thanks to some real shady and inconsistent penalty calling. Did you see the hooking in OT??? Yes, there was a hook on Backstrom but it was a glancing attempt at best and it did not prevent the player from completing his pass. Note to ref's: If it's OT or late third period, you need to swallow your whistle!
Anyway, hope the refs don't make it all about themselves and let them play tonight.
As for tonight's play, I like the home side and the OVER again. shocker.

What’s up donkeys! Had a
great day yesterday, going 10-2 in the pro’s!
We’ve got a good one tonight. Last time these two met was week 6 in Tampa and
the Panthers got rung-up for a 27-3. You think this one isn’t circled in red
for the Panthers?? One thing I consider when I cap games is the line of
scrimmage. Games are won and lost in the trenches. Taking a look at tonight’s
lines, the Buc’s have D-line issues with DE Haye out and DE Adams dinged.
That’s the equivalent of 20% of the D Line being down. Advantage = Carolina. On
the other side of the ball, the Panthers D Line got dominated last time out. DE
Pepper’s was ineffective, getting 3 tackles and 0 sacks. Since that TB game,
the Panthers have out-rushed and won 5 of the following 6 opponents. RB Williams
has 9 TD’s since that debacle in Tampa. Advantage = Panthers. Del Homey is not
playing as well as Garcia, but the strength of this team is running the ball.
Of late, the Panthers are gaining 6.2 yards per carry!
Some situational trends I
uncovered in capping this game:
Panthers boast a 35-18 ATS
mark
(66%)
since ’98 after the holiday weekend
Carolina is 16-10 (62%) as a
post-Thanksgiving weekend

Find out who's up for election in your congressional district and get them to take a position on this. Most incumbents voted for this, so consider voting for someone other than one with a prohibitionist stance.
RISE UP PEOPLE!!! I know its football season and there's lots of games to study. But to reverse the government's attacks on personal liberty, a movement must take place.
Go to congress.org, type in your zip code and go!!!
