NHL Road Tripping

I'm back with a new strategy that I will unveil in the near future.

The NHL Home Chase thread got moved over to Website Promotions.

We have had 2 chase losses so far this month and are sitting at about even on the unit totals.  Hopefully we can close out the month without any more losses and make a few units.

The new strategy involves road trips.

Don't know if any of these other NHL systems are the same, but it won't take long for somebody to line me out, if that's the case.

So far the new system has netted 37.4 units since the start of the season.

I have not had time to back test it yet, but maybe I can get that done before November games.

Stay tuned.  You may be able to see the threads on my Covers Space, but not sure how that works.

Another 3-game chase loss on the NHL Home Stand Plays.
The system is down 8.6 units this month.  With the remaining plays its possible to get back to even and possibly win 1 or 2 units.

The NHL Road Trip system is doing well +53.1 units.

The NHL Home chase system is down .5 unit for the October chases with 4 still pending.  Hopefully it can close the month a winner.

I made a mistake on the NHL ROAD TRIP unit total.  It is currently at +42.8 (28.4 RML & 14.4 RPL) units for the month of October with 4 pending.

Be sure to check the October sheets on both systems for pending chases.

Thanks for catching that mistake.  I counted a RPL chase as a loss when it actually won.

So the updated unit total is +54.4 units broken down by 28.4 RML and 26.0 RPL.

I haven't been playing it so I don't check my work, but I'm pretty sure I didn't make any more mistakes.

Feel free to verify it.

Thanks!

Smitler,

First off, thanks for sharing.  Are you Risking or betting to win 1u, 2u, 4u for each of the 3 bets A,B,C?

Have you considered regulation time wagers with the +/- 0.5 PL?

Continued Success...

oilcountry99 says:

Also, how many units do you recommend to start this system.

smitler says:

I track the units by TO WIN if -odds and RISK if +odds.

Have not considered regulation wagers yet.

Unit size depends on the size of your bankroll and what kind of risk taker you are.  These things could go south at anytime so be careful.  I would calculate it by how much you can handle a worse case scenario of 7 consecutive losses.
If your unit value is $10 then,
10+20+40+80+160+320+640 = 1270 for 7 consecutive +odds losses.
The RPL -odds would make a 7 loss stretch much worse.

Remember I only list the plays and how I track it.  You can customize the way you play.

That's a wrap for the October NHL Home Stand System.
A little disappointed, but +units are better than -units.
The HML/HPL Side netted -5.3 units.
The RML/RPL Side netted +15.7 units.
Total net gain of +10.4 units for October.

November plays are posted.

The NHL Road Trip System has a crucial "E" game tomorrow with Anaheim ML. They have lost 4 straight road games.
Winnipeg starts a new chase tomorrow on the final 3 games of their October Road Trip.

November plays are posted.

Something had to give with both Anaheim and Detroit sucking and I figured Detroit would open a can of WhoopAss.  That 5-game losing streak to close out Anaheim's road trip took away all the Road Money Line profit for October with won final chase pending (C-Winnepeg Nov. 8) and down 4.3 units.

However, the Road Puck Line went undefeated in October with +33.0 units.

smitler says:
11/09/11 12:44PM
Winnipeg couldn't get it done last night making that a 3-game chase loss.  So there were 3 chase losses in October (3-game, 4-game, and a 5-game) The good news is all of these losses came after they won at least 1 game during their road trips.

NHL ROAD TRIP

Below are the final October unit totals for the NHL Road Trip System:
RML: -7.0 units
RPL: +34.0 units
Net Units: +27.0 units

So far November is up 15.4 units.

Here are the November numbers with 7 chases remaining to close out November.

HML and HPL combined
Oct: -5.3 units

Not a good month for the road teams on this system.

Working on December schedule. Check the "Dec2011" sheet for chases starting in December.
Will update unit results when November wraps up.

smitler says:

If you had access to the document before, you still should have access to the document.

If not, send a share request and I will add you.  There are a couple people that I still need to add.  Don't know if that is you or not.
The system has not been doing well the last two months so kinda blew it off.
I will start February today.

Smitler, the Home Stand system in february was awful. Without count the 4 pending series, we had 5 expensive fails that burn our bankroll accumulated through the season.

So, I want to continue playing the system as I believe that we can recover our bankroll in the remainder of season.

Please, when you can, update the file with the March plays spreadsheet.

Thanks!

I understand perfectly Smitler. It's better to leave the system when you are unsure of their profitability in the long term.

Anyway, thank you very much for your effort, help and understanding.

We will follow any other method you propose in the future.

The rate of return on this system coupled with the risk playing high juice is not worth the time put into it.

I stopped playing months ago.

Therefore, will not be updating anymore.

On November 28, 2011, I completely retooled my strategies and tactics and overall approach to this addiction.

It was either change or quit because I was not seeing positive $ results for the amount of time spent on it.

Since then I have used an average starting wager of $20 and taken $2363.09 to $3289.86 for a 39.22% rate of return. Its a grind.

This is it for me. I'm not the lucky guy (we all know at least one).  I have to work my ass off to overcome.  If this fails I will be satisfied knowing I gave it my best shot and it just wasn't meant to be.

Its not about cappin for me, never has been as I suck at it.  Its all about hitching your wagon to the right capper and/or system, money management, low juice, and a little bit of luck (or limiting the bad luck).

Hopefully MLB 1st Inning will continue where it left off last season.

Enough rambling. I'm out for the night.
