Not sure if the NHL tracks those specialized stats.  Not like MLB where they are stat happy on everything.

          They are bacially sitting in their barn waiting for opponents 

          to drop in. I think back to back games effect the visting

          team more.  If the ISLANDERS are plaing in Carolina

          tonight, then tomorrow night in Vancouver, it would have

          an effect on them.   Back to back nights in different time

          zones can be killer.

          BACK TO BACK nights...same 2 teams > can take on a

          playoff like atmosphere.  Can get physical & intense.  The 

          ''eye for an eye''' attitude takes on a higher profile.

Not many teams will roll out the same goalie on back to back nights.  If the Devils play tonight and tomorrow night, Bordeur will get one game, and most likley the back up goalie will get the other game.  At the start of the year, when everybody is fresh,  Broduer would probably get both games.  But as the year drags on, Broduer would not play back to back nights.  Unless vital playoff implications are at stake.
