BCS Championship Prediction - LSU vs Alabama!

Here is a very plausible outcome to the college football season...

1. Oregon, Kansas State and Notre Dame each lose one of their upcoming games (including conference championships). When is the last time any of them had a perfect regular season?

2. LSU runs the table and finishes 13 - 1 (having beaten a one-loss Florida team in the SEC championship game) and is #1 in the BCS.

3. Alabama wins the remainder of its games except for a close loss to LSU and finishes 12 - 1 (only loss being to #1 LSU away in Tiger Stadium at night).

4. LSU (#1) vs Alabama (#2) in the BCS Championship Game!

p.s. I predicted this same scenario directly following Alabama's loss to LSU last year and everyone called me crazy...

Seriously!!!! The difference is your predicting this before the Alabama, LSU game. It much easier to figure out after they play. I believe that 2 of the other 3 teams you mentioned will lose at least one game, but I dont see LSU beating Alabama. I dont see Saban ever losing to Les Miles again no matter where he coaches. LSU has some of the best athletes in the country, but unfortunently have the worst coach. Les Miles is an Idiot and thats coming from a non bias source. Im a Miss st fan and I not that niave to think we could beat Alabama.

When you wish upon a star.....

Seriously, tho', your scenarios are indeed plausible. Scary and plausible.

I'm goin' ND v. Ala because they have the best D's. I'm sure you think I'm crazy for saying ND's DEF is better than LSU's, but they haven't given up a single rushing TD all year and that's against a tougher schedule than Bama's or LSU's.

Here's to another great college football season!!

The two mega-coaches from the SEC (Les Miles and N Saban) have figured out that the way to dominate on the FB field is to brutalize the opponent in the trenches. They therefore recruit linemen and linebackers from all over the country and make these positions their priority.

This approach to dominate an opponent physically also helps the Big East to dominate come Tourney time.

This approach won't work in baseball, where physical domianance is hardly viable as there is no physical contact.

It is a legitimate complaint to criticize the style of play. It lacks grace, and leadership. It's simply dominance. No wonder we saw an Alabama linebacker throw a Missouri RB down like John Cena would do for entertainment.

Therefore these two have the inside track. It works. A great QB and/or RB cannot overcome a dominant defensive line.

Likewise an average playmaker can find wide open holes and spaces with a dominant offensive line.

Sounds simple, but most recruiters go after the darling HS QBs instead of the 6'6 300 lb linemen. They don't get it.

Oregon will have a very improbable  task of beating USC twice.  After the Ducks, SEC gets the more value for in conference wins. Playoffs are next year. Just a 4 game system, which the SEC will dominate as well.

Ask any LSU fan what they think of Les Miles play calling. He nearly fucked up the So Car game with boneheaded offensive plays. See, he doesn't give a fuck about what he's calling (and gives that impression), because he knows he has the brutality advantage, esp in "Death Valley."

Here is a very plausible outcome to the college football season...

Bama beats KSU by 20 in the title game. Oregon doesn't play the defense it would take to beat Bama, KSU depends too heavily on the run and ND would probably lose to Bama by 10-14 points. Ksu got a lot breaks when they beat OK, the Irish did it the old fashioned way, they earned it.
