WHATS UP GUYS
BUSY NIGHT LASTNIGHT
WENT 1-1 YTD

Price made 32 saves, and Maxim Lapierre, Tomas Plekanec and Christopher Higgins scored second-period goals in Montreal's 3-1 victory over the Detroit Red Wings on Wednesday night.
Franzen foiled Price's shutout bid with 6:29 left. Franzen took the puck away from Canadiens' defenseman Ryan O'Byrne in the neutral zone, came in off the left wing, turned O'Byrne around with a couple of moves, cut into the slot and beat Price with a backhander for his 10th goal.

Jason LaBarbera made 22 saves, and Anze Kopitar and Patrick O'Sullivan each had a goal and an assist in the Kings' 2-1 victory over the Oilers on Wednesday night.

WHAT A NIGHT FOR OVECHKIN
3 GOALS & AN ASSIST

ANYWAYS SMALL CARD FOR TONIGHT AND HERE'S WHAT I LIKE

Toronto (7-9-2-3) at Ottawa (7-9-1-3)

The Ottawa Senators offense finally helped Alex Auld earn a win his last time out, but the goalie hasn't gotten much help recently against the Toronto Maple Leafs.

Ottawa tries to earn back-to-back victories following a six-game losing streak when it hosts Toronto on Thursday night.

Auld has a 2.34 goals-against average in eight games - seven starts - against Toronto, but is just 2-3-2.

Toskala has won five of his last six starts against the Senators, while Joseph has lost 10 of his past 12 - six straight in Ottawa.

The Maple Leafs have won five of their past six meetings with the Senators.

PICK: TOR

Calgary (12-9-1-0) at Vancouver (14-6-0-2)

The Canucks try to avoid their first regulation loss in more than three weeks on Thursday night as they open another home-and-home series with a Flames club looking for their fourth win in five games.

Curtis Sanford is a big reason why Vancouver (14-6-2) has stayed hot and remained atop the division, with the Flames (12-9-1) five points behind.

"We're rallying around each other," said Sanford, who is 1-3-0 with a 3.32 GAA in his career versus Calgary. "There's adversity right now and we're finding a way to deal with it. We have each other's back out there and we're going to find a way to get through all this."

Vancouver has won six of its last eight home games against Calgary. These teams will also meet Saturday at the Pengrowth Saddledome.

PICK : VAN

Well Tyler i have a feeling tonight all canandian teams will win. Go Canada, just jokes. But tonight i think calgary will definitly dominate and the same thing for ottawa. i think the leafs will come out with a ton of energy and confidence and who knows maybe take an early lead, but i think they will choke towards the end of the game, so far this season the leafs seem to use up all their energy in the first 2 periods and just coast through the 3rd, and a team like ottawa just won't allow them to do that. I believe it was 2 years ago the sens came out flat to start the season, and once december came around they turned it around and became the most dominate team in the league, they have way to much talent not to be in the upper ranks of the league. I think so far this year they are trying to getting used to life without redden and maszaros, and those are pretty big shoes to fill. Tonights the night where ottawa flexes their muscle so to speak. Same with calgary, without loungo the canucks are a different team, they now need to keep the puck away from the net at all costs, i still don't believe sanford can carry this team and we all know that is exactly what loungo has done since he arrived, the flames play very physical hockey, iginlas starting to pick up production, and i think their coach will empathize how much it would mean to take 2 from these guys with loungo out, if loungo was in net my pick would be a whole lot different but i just don't think they are the same without him. Althugh a win against detroit is very impressive, i still think every dog has his day, and that was definitly sanfords day. BOL to ya brother

Good write up Luke. I have always felt that the more physical team wins out and Van is not as tough as Calgary. The Twins will be looking over their shoulders all night
