Season: 62-49 +25.69 units
Sides: 44-27 +30.94 units
Totals: 18-22 -5.25 units
Mil/Phi under 10 even (1 unit) Both teams had a day off, the weather will be crappy and the Brewers typically don't hit Moyer well. Not enough? How about the left handed Parra's great stuff neutralizing the big bats of Utley, Howard and Ibanez?
Pittsburgh +129 (1 unit) Planned on taking the Fish again, but this is good value at home. Karstens stinks, but the Pirates dominated yesterday, and despite the record, the Fish really haven't played well this year. A few late rallys against Washington makes their record a bit inflated.
Cincinnati +200 (1 unit) Too good of odds to pass up. Harden does not go deep into ball games and the Reds have an offense that can put up a lot of runs. Owing's isn't a good pitcher, but every once in a while he comes up with a gem.
Mets +102 (2 units) Not a fan of Oliver Perez and his walks however the Mets have one of the best bullpens and the Cards have one of the worst. I'll take the better bullpen and the better overall team over the better starting pitcher.
LA/Hou under 9.5 -105 Houston has had trouble scoring and Kershaw won't help them get out of the slump. I typically fade Ortiz by taking overs, but he won't give up more than 6 which should keep it under.
Colorado +108 (2 units) 100% fade on Petit. Once a promising young arm, he has not been able to get outs at this level. Morales threw a solid game in his first start of the season.
San Diego -120 (2 units) Don't like playing favorites, but once again, I'm taking advantage of the good line for Peavy. Tail him now before the -150's and -180's come. The Giants had trouble scoring against Arizona, so what makes you think they can score off of Peavy? I like Cain a lot, but he gives up too many base runners to stick with Peavy.
Yankees RL -105 Fading Eveland. Had to wait a day to play this, but the line hasn't changed and neither has my opinion.
Kansas City +170 (2 units) Ponson isn't very good, but neither is Laffey. Both teams have good offenses, but I'll take the +170 in this coin flip game.
KC/Cle under 10 -110 This line seems too low and Vegas is begging people to take the over. I'm not falling for it.
Minnesota +150 (1 unit) Baker is coming off of injury, but now in his 2nd start, I expect better things out of him. He definitely has the ability to win this game making the +150 a good value play.
Detroit +104 (1 unit) Ride the hot arm of Gallaraga. The Angels miss Vlad and I have to believe that they still have some depression in the clubhouse after losing Nick Adenhart.
Det/LLA under 8.5 even (2 units) Two solid starters. Both offenses can score 9 by themselves, but neither has consistently scored a lot of runs this year.
Good luck Cappers!
