Braves bats just didnt come alive yesterday. Today, there are two picks that I like.
Yankees +107
-First of all, Sox are 0-6 and pressing hardcore. You better believe they are feeling pressure.
-Second, I'm sure the whole Yankee team is daydreaming about how great it would be to sweep the Sox and leave them at a dreadful 0-9 to start the season.
-John Lackey got pounded by a strong Texas offense, and this Yankee team has just as much pop in their bats. Could be another long day for Lackey. A lot of the Yankee starters have seen plenty of Lackey in their careers. (Jeter 12-35, Cano 7-30, Posada 10-18, Grandy 5-14, Tex 8-29, Arod 2-28, Swisher 6-39) I know A-Rod and Swish have bad numbers against Lackey, but hey at least they've seen what hes got.
-Yanks as an underdog against a Red Sox team without Lester on the mound deserves a bet. Hughes isn't too shabby.
Phillies -120
-Braves did me in yesterday, time to go against them lol. But seriously this is more of just a value bet, getting Cliff Lee at -120.
-I think Tim Hudson is getting a little bit too much respect here, and unfortunately for me yesterday as a Braves backer, the bats still aren't making the noise that we expect. I dont believe they will suddenly come alive against Cliff Lee.
Bol to you all Thoughts and comments are appreciated.
I am in a weekly office pool and you pick the spread of every game, but you designate 3 picks as your 'best bets'. I've been doing pretty good, and already won CHI +1.5, so now I need two more this week. Im leaning GB and ATL.
GB: Minny is a mess, Favre doesnt look like hes 40 yrs old he looks like hes 50 years old. Percy Harvin is not healthy, and Childress forgot Adrian peterson is the best back in the NFL. GB doesnt need to play great, just good to beat this NFC North version of the Cowboys.
ATL: Atlanta to me is a very well rounded, simple team. Smart QB, ELITE PLAYMAKER in Roddy White, dependable back in Michael Turner, and a solid defense. I've been liking STL alot this year with bradford, but they dont play as well on the road as they do at home. A few mistakes here a few mistakes there, Atlanta will have no problem taking advantage and sealing the deal.
Your thoughts?
3-1 yesterday, wouldve been 4-0 but atlanta ruined that. i cant complain though, if it wasnt for the nets and portland falling apart, i wouldve been 1-3
so today, i like one game only.
Bulls -2
Analysis:
I know the covers frontpage says take Washington, but I never listen to those fools anyway. Noah will be returning for Chicago tonight, and he means a lot to them. Bulls have won 4 in a row SU and ATS. Meanwhile, the Wizards have won 5 in a row ATS. That should end tonight, when Rose and company come into town and lay the smackdown on this depleted team. Washington has some recent quality wins over Denver and Orlando, but I still cant back them. IMO, this Bulls team is young and just getting better over the course of the year. I'll roll the die and take the more complete team tonight.

the knicks could be a halfway decent team the remainder of the year? im not saying they will win a lot, but i could see some value in their lines.
t-mac looked like he could be a productive player, and eddie house gives them someone else who can shoot the ball well. Not to mention they still have double double david lee.
t-mac and eddie house will both be FA after this year, both will want to prove they are worth something.
tonight i wanted to take them getting the points, but i wanted to see them play a few more games. If i see more generous lines going their way, i might have to gamble on them a few times.
your thoughts?
havent posted since before the all star break, just been busy. however, been doing real good. i split on tuesday night, went 2-0 on wednesday, and 1-0 last night. hopefully this run can continue, i need this mannnn.
tonight, a few stick out right away, and as usual i narrowed it down to my 2 top plays. first...
Cleveland -4.5
Analysis:
Lebron is pissed off. He did not want to lose last night, and he knows he is to blame for all the 3 balls he was chuckin up when they were not needed. Jameson MIGHT play tonight, but that doesnt really matter much to me. I just expect Lebron to come out real hungry and pissed after last night.
Bulls -1
Analysis:
Bulls just won back to back games against the Knicks, and still have something to play for. They have a chance to make the playoffs, and they know these are must win games against easy opponents. The Wolves are bad, plain and simple. I'm just worried that Al jefferson could be a beast tonight since Noah is still hurt and cant play. Overall, i feel the athleticism of Deng and Rose will be too much for Minny.
If my Cleveland bet looks good come 9 oclock, I will also be taking the Hawks over the Suns. I like them a lot here, but will only take them if i know the Cavs are going to cover.
