I'm not finding an over/under here. Is anyone seeing one?
Does anyone think of Lucas as a pure KO puncher with his overall record against world-class opponents?
Has he ever faced a guy like Garcia, who can pound guys as they come in.
Can't wait for it.
Who are you picking?
As we can see, odds are around -270 that Mayweather wins a decision, with the over/under about -320 favoring over 11 and a half rounds. BUT...one of my youtube viewers has stated that Carlos Slim, listed by Forbes as the richest man in the world since 2010, has sponsored Canelo through a monopoly called Telmex.
This engenders the question, can Canelo lose a decision, and does it make any sense for anyone to lay any more money down on Floyd?
If not, are we to expect a late odds surge on Canelo which would drastically alter the line?
Erislandy Lara-Alfredo Angulo:
It is hard not to pay the extra (-460) on Lara if you watch clips of the 2, who are scheduled for a 12-rounder in California on the 8th.
Angulo has a good, if not great, wallop. His style is as an orthodox puncher without speed. He is promoted by Golden Boy, so normally he wins any decision in California. However, the powerful Al Haymon represents Lara, so Erislandy stands a chance on the cards.
Lara will control most of the bout, and knows enough not to trade with the powerful Mecican. Lara should carry the day for a convincing win.
Will Mayweather tap Lamont Peterson as next on dance card if he gets by Lucas Matthsse?
If so, bet the line starts as -800 on Floyd, minimally.
What do you think?
