Bovada has a policy of holding on to your winnings as long as possible. After requesting payouts they no longer send your money by Western Union or Moneygram. They instead wait about 2-3 weeks and send you a check written on a bank in the Orient. Needless to say your banker won't be to excited about that check and put a hold of 10 days on it, by the time you get your payout from Bovada it's about a 30-40 days from the time you request it. Bovada by holding on to your money gets to continue to collect interest for the majority of the time. I personally suggest finding a different sportsbook, as I'm going to do in the near future.
When my home team the Detroit Tigers are in the playoffs, this time of year for me is like heaven. Since football started my picks have been like I've had the following days sports section in my hand while I'm picking. I've gambled football for 33 years, I feel I'm in my absolute prime at picking winners. My formula for units played on each contest is working like a charm and I feel absolutely on top of my game. I also bet baseball but not nearly as successfully as football, I can hold my own in baseball but it truly is a different concept in many ways and I don't have nearly the same experience as with football wagering. I started gambling baseball seriously only about 5 years ago, for all the previous years I've gambled I either didn't wager on baseball or just did it as more or less a hobby and that never works out successfully. Gambling on sports is without doubt something you have to be all in on to be successful, I live and breath football and that's the only way I'm able to win gambling.
The baseball playoffs start today with the 1 game elimination wild card game, in my opinion Selig again makes a bad move here as a 1 game playoff for teams that fought for 162 games to get the opportunity to play is a bit ridiculous. Selig seems to miss the boat on everything he does, the funny thing with Selig is I like what he's done the implementation though is horrendous. I like the fact the All Star Game in baseball means something but giving the winning side home field in the World Series is not at all the proper pay off, with baseball's grueling schedule the home team should be the team with the better record end of story. Baseball's playoff system is the best in sports, only elite teams are in the playoffs. That's the way it was for all 4 major sports at one time, today Hockey and Basketball teams that are mediocre make the playoffs I find something wrong when mediocrity is rewarded. The NFL is even moving towards mediocre teams making the playoffs, 10-6 should be the lowest record you can have to make the playoffs is Football, that makes the regular season more important. Hockey and Basketball's regular season is so bad that when the playoff's come they actually brand it a different sport, it's no longer Hockey and Basketball games it's Playoff Hockey or Playoff Basketball a different name for a completely different game. The play is different the scoring is different the dynamics and strategy are different. I realize money talks but I would hate to see our national pastime change and when mediocrity is rewarded, the game changes, the loser is the fans when you pay to see a regular season game in Hockey or Basketball your getting ripped off it's just not acknowledged you take your kid, it his first NBA Game and the teams are playing at half speed so they can get through the schedule in one piece so they can partake in Playoff Basketball. If money wasn't the issue the schedule in basketball would be cut in half only division winners and one wild card would make the playoffs and the intensity of the regular season games would increase to a point that rivals the other sport now known as Playoff Basketball. Hockey the same thing cut the season in half and make the playoffs a reward instead of given, In those sports they should have a competition committee who's sole purpose is to make the game as competitive as possible so the paying public isn't ripped off and the product is top notch. The NFL understands it's success is based upon the quality of it's contests, it's no wonder they are head and shoulders above the other major sports in popularity. Gambling has made football what it is, Gamblers make sports popular at one time that couldn't be talked about as state lottery's start incorporating sports gaming as part of the state lottery gambling all of sudden is acceptable to the main stream. They don't at all have to worry about players at the pro level throwing contests, they get paid to well no gambler in the world could make it a financial winner for a player to throw a game. The referee's on the other hand have to be monitored closely, all the major sports have to monitor and be extremely diligent with the officials as they can change an outcome. The most important thing to professional sports is the games integrity, the competitive level of the game is even secondary to the games integrity. The reason gamblers, a sport cannot maintain popularity without the gamblers. The worst kept secret in major sports is the importance of gambling to it's survival, the competition committee's of the four major sports can weigh their success by the amount wagered on their various contests bottom line the more gambled on a game the more popular that game is, Hockey, and Basketball's leadership groups can absolutely judge the performance of the health of the sport by following the money wagered I have no idea how popularity of a sport is figured but I can promise you that a direct correlation exists between the health of a sport and how much money trades hands in regards to the outcome.
I feel I just had to get that off my chest, anyway please give me feedback about your thoughts, I have extremely thick skin so I'm more than happy to see negative criticism, I do ask you refrain from childish comments, I'm a decent human being and whether I disagreed with a person or not I would never criticize one's mother or use four letter words or sexual preference as a way to show my feelings. I also would be happy to share my NFL picks and especially NCAA picks; and the reason behind those picks, I'll share my baseball picks but those are not nearly as valuable lol. Write me at jimsbook@hotmail.com if I don't respond it went into junk and I didn't see it, my back up plan is dafirestar@gmail.com. Have a great weekend, enjoy the change of seasons, which is another reason I love this time of year.
Well basketball fans I'm in rare form with my picks in both the Eastern and Western Conference Final. On occasion I get a feel and I can't explain what I cognitively do to make my selections, I do look at all the stats, the lineups, and all the basic due diligence but my choices usually throw much of that out the window and I go by feel, when I'm going by feel I'm at my best prognosticating. I've been playing basically 2 units on either the game or the total whichever I like more and than taking 1 unit and parlaying the game and the total. I've hit the parlay in 3 out of 5 games that have been played so far and I've hit the main bet in the other 2 winning money on each game. Tonight my pick is the under 181 which I bet in the morning I would still take the under at 179 along with the Miami Heat +2.5. Bet it and bank it, have a good evening, enjoy.
