Marathon
#9 Cease the one to beat from a style standpoint; hard to figure exotics in this one
Interesting betting race in that two of the favorites are at the far outside of the draw, and the other one has never run on turf. Very possible a longshot delivers.
I like #6 Coalport or #10 Animal Spirits to step up here. Don't know a ton about Faraaj, but he's getting a lot of hype, so if he still has betting value I'll throw him in.
DD Marathon - Juvenile Turf: 9/6+10
Sprint
Lots of questions surrounding Big Drama; no value in him for the short odds given that.
I'll take a shot with #9 Aproximity, assuming the track will be all dried up today. He has absolutely no business going off anywhere near 30-1 in this race.
Sprint Exactas: Box 9-8; 9/2+4+5
Turf Sprint
#8 Regally Ready has been a bit slower in his last 3 races compared to the spring, but if he fires in top form today he could go unchallenged.
#4 Perfect Officer has great connections who know how to win turf races and turf sprints in particular; jockey & trainer very successful together, and horse is very comfortable at distance. Presents excellent value.
Turf Sprint Exactas: 4+8/3+4+5+8+10
Dirt Mile
This race should have lots of action and pace early up front, which sets up perfectly for #5 Wilburn to come through.
#6 Irrefutable will go off for a nice price. He's worked out well and has a career high beyer at Churchill Downs. Also like the fact that they've tried to change his running style and not just go to the front right away in the last couple outings. If he can successfully run that style today he could surprise everyone. Whether he can go a mile is a question but for the price you can take a chance.
It's not as if this race hasn't hit with longshots in the past. Got Furthest Land a couple years ago in this race for 21-1 odds.
Dirt Mile Exactas: 5+6/1+5+7+9
Turf
The connections to #7 Sea Moon have prepared him almost identically to the way they prepped Conduit a few years back.
Juvenile
Hard to see #10 Union Rags go down if he stays in this form.
Based on the odds in his last race, if someone is to top him it would be #9 Alpha, who was graded to be on par with him by the bettors in that race.
DD Turf & Juvenile: 7/1+9 (no value I think in 7/10)
Juvenile Exactas: 10/1+4+5+8+9
Mile
Can the legend pull it off? We'll see, but Goldikova looks vulnerable and just can't be bet for such short odds given the circumstances.
#4 Mr. Commons has a good running style for this race and continues to improve in each turf start he gets. Lots of upside for a fat price. Drawback is he may be better suited for 1 1/16 miles.
#13 Turallure has the connections and is clearly in form right now; a true closer who can overcome the draw as he's successfully won from the outside several times. I trust Leparoux to position him properly and overcome the draw, which in itself should create betting value for the horse.
Mile Exactas: 4+13/1+3+4+5+11+13

So I'm supposed to bet between a filly winning this race or Uncle Mo, who has so many questions surrounding whether he can perform in this race that anyone who bets him today at the odds you'll get is insane.
To me, #2 Flat Out is the one to beat here. Everything sets up right for him. His running style is perfect for this race. And there's no doubt he's in tip top form at the moment.
#13 To Honor and Serve is the most likely 3 year old to win this race. Weight advantage helps but he'll have to overcome the outside post. Is bred for distance so at least he shouldn't tire out. Like the betting value for him here.
Classic Exactas: 2+13/2+4+7+8+9+10+13
GL everyone. One of my favorite days of the year.
I work for a marketing research company that is recruiting for a client's beer study next week at the Woodfield Shopping Center. People who bet sports like me also seem to love beer and free money, so here's the details:
It'll be next Tuesday, Wednesday, & Thursday. You have to be at the mall for 45 minute sessions each day. You would get a $60 check and a $30 gift card after the 3rd day.
You also need a designated driver each day. They get a $5 check & $10 gift card each day and you can have the same or different driver each day.
The session times each day are as follows: 4 pm, 4:45, 5:30, 6:15, 7, 7:45, 8:30.
If you want to get in on the study, you have to call this number: 877-317-8732. Ask for David or Jason and one of us will get you screened and into the study (we have to ask some questions like what beer you drink, etc.)
Cheers!
P.S. I do post on here from time to time and am not one of those annoying spam posts. Click my covers name if you don't believe me.
Figured I'd post it in here since ya'll are big time fans figuring some of you probably play fantasy...
Its a public league so no e-mail required. Just click and sign up.
Since this is a betting forum, I'll make it more appropriate by saying that despite their preseason "success", the Skins are total crap. As such, there is value on the Giants.
With the recent shakeups in the industry, I'm wondering where's the best book to open with for the fall, where my main bets would be $55 - $110 (with the goal to build from week 1 and never re-deposit; this worked last year )
Key here is with the withdrawals. I know some sites it's hard to be a small ball player and build up enough for a decent withdrawal method.
Been with sportsbook.com for awhile but may switch books. Was also on sportsbetting.com for awhile until I had to contest a faulty charge and my account was subsequently closed.
