As i have just started to post plays i generally will not be giving extensive write-ups unless i am committing a large amount on a particular play.
That being said...
Tonight i will be placing a 3u wager on the Giants +7.5 (-110), i am making a large play simply based on the fact that i live in NY and am very familiar with both local teams. This number IMO should not even be close to being this high as both teams have a lot left to play for (most even argue that this game means more to the giants based on the current playoff picture) Therefore i find it to be a gift to loose by a TD and still be able to cover without paying extra juice.
If you look at the Giants under Coughlin, they tend to come up big in spots where no one is giving them a chance...if you need proof of this just look at the 2 times this year that they were over 7pt dogs on the road( @Philly+9, @Pats +9) not only did the cover those two games but they won SU. I am not one of those people on Covers that are going to go and try to predict the next big upset (you see them in the forums all the time, their usually the ones that start their threads with GOY, POY etc) all i am saying is i see this game to be close and definitely within 1 possession. The Giants are 5th in turnovers and it is largely due to their fierce pass rush which i believe will play with a chip on their shoulders after being dismantled by the Eagles. I also believe that playing indoors will help the Giants d-line get off the ball (as the colts have done for a decade indoors) and cause Drew Brees to become uncomfortable in the pocket, keep in mind he is not a tall qb (listed 6ft) so once his pocket is broken he will have trouble to see down the field which is something he does struggle to do at times... (something that Vince young at 6'5 was able to do, not to mention extend plays with his legs)...
Any given day, any team can win, especially when both teams are talented and have capable QBs, i do feel that home-field will play an obvious advantage in favor of the Saints but i do like the Giants pass rush and their desperation to keep it close...

***If anyone believes this is a "homer" pick please know that i am not a true fan of either local team but do watch both teams games on a weekly basis.
