Record as of the end of January 2011, All plays are posted for my enjoyment, Hecklers need not junk up the thread.
2011 Overall 36-22-1 -.8Units
WTA 16-9 4.6Units
ATP 20-13-1 -5.4 Units
Australian Open 14-11-1 -6.55 Unit
Starace-265 over Capdeville- Starace playing first clay match he is 7-3 and 35-15 in last 50 on clay Capdeville 7-3 but only 25-25. This will be the first match for both on clay this year. Starace has more of an edge on clay and after having seen his play the last few years his serve is much improved(though not real important on slower clay surfaces). I will take a bit on Starace to win 2 units tonight.
Best of luck
As a tech student I can tell you right now Tech will be a better team as the year goes on but they looked really sloppy and Favors in foul trouble. I like the Under 2H if anywhere near 71+ not seeing one at dimes at moment , being this tourney is in San Juan I also advise watch the Under 1H in all these tourney games for the 1st 2 rounds especially from teams playing 1st game here. If memory serves me the Under 1H has hit alot in this tourney history last 2-3years.
OK guys last week was a great start to the grass season, here is to making a ton of money in the leadups to Wimbledon.
To get us started early here are the first 4 matches
Hantuchova over Vinci - 190 now I took at -215, 1075/500
Hantuchova is a good fast court player and one of the most reliable servers in the WTA something few people understand, she will have alot of cheap points early on. For her career she 23-14 on grass and 7-3 in her last 10 on grass, she lost in the 1st round of Roland Garros which is to be expected against Razzano, she didn't play last week so form is unclear, I expect that she is still two classes above Vinci who goes pretty fair on grass as her serve is a good weapon as well, she played last week and won two matches vs Bremond and Osterloh neither of which is much to speak of on this surface. H2H Vinci leads 1-0 from a Carpet match in 2007, pretty much irrelevent. Take Hantuchova to advance here medium stakes, (my strongest bets will be for 1000 FYI)
Tamarine Tanasugarn -250 over Barbora Zahlavova Strycova 1250/500
Similar situation to Vinci- Sytrycova (15-8 on grass) has a good serve and has decent record on grass (7-3 in last 10) and played last week but difference is 2-8 for last 10 and Tamarine is only 3-7 in last 10. Tamarine goes much better on grass ( 42-19 and 8-2 last 10) and faster surfaces as she has a big serve and hits heavy grounders, she doesn't play alot of matches but seems to really shine in faster situations. Last week Strycova beat a clay courter and was handled by Czink, where Tamarine beat big serving Julie Coin and lost a tough match to up and commer in Cavaday.
Tamarine for medium stakes to win 500 for me..
The two early mens matches are worth passing, I lean towards dogs with recent form and history in
Petzschner +130 vs Chardy who he beat Chardy early this year is 2-0 vs Chardy and Chardy lost in 1st round last week where Petzschner and his good serve beat Verdasco before losing to Oliver Rochus who made final. I usually support Chardy and his big serve and expect he will win tomorrow despite everything going towards Petzschner. That is why this is a no Play, odds not overly strong either way 50/50 match- my advice is to stay away
Koellerer will most likely beat Hernandez but at -108- personal opinion but I will pass. Two clay guys go at it not worth my money
Well the French Open was exciting, now no to the Grass Season.
I did not post earlier but Already won the Becker match and awaiting Cavaday in WTA.
Feliciano Lopez over Robert Kendrick- 210 -the price is a little steep but Lopez with this big serve and having made QF at Wimbledon last year is a proven player on grass, Kendrick is no sloutch either but with .500 record on grass I will take Lopez for Max Bet even at this price, 2100/1000
GGL -160 over Lu- Lu has retired the last two tourneys and GGL with this serve is about a .500 player on grass certainly worth a Medium play here if you are at a book that grades on retirements.
Berdych, Hass should both win there matches though too pricey, staying away from Schlutter -who made SF at Wimbledon but seems out of form over Gicquel, Serra is 0-2 to Sela but seems likely to win that match but I have no interest is a tight match.
Muller in bad form 1-9 but still expect him to beat Goodall who played well at a Grass challenger last week, no bet here
**Please note on the Men's Side there were several ATP level players that played a Grass Challenger last week as a warmup and the lines will reflect that some.
