Evened out last night, still on a nice run. Still got a little swag and confidence when capping...that is until the NBA bitch-slaps it off me. Capped two tonight, feel good about em. Best of luck fellas.
CHICAGO BULLS + 1 (-110) - - - So it's quite obvious we under-estimated the Sac roster. I am still not high on Evans just yet. He just seems like a hit or miss rook. With experience I am sure he will blossom. Now despite the fact that Sacto has played some very poised basketball as of late, it doesn't mean everyone should be raising the banner just yet. I think the public and vegas is a little bit too high on this team right now. Granted they are no longer the queens and teams know that heading into Arco they cannot underestimate the Kings anymore. That is gonna mean problems for this Sac team. If you dissect their last 3 home wins it is not as impressive as you think. First a win over GS in a game that consisted of no defense at all. Then a win over a OKC team that shot 38% as Durant and Westbrook shot horrific. Finally a win over a Houston team that missed 21 three point shots. Chi Town is a different test, different caliber. Remember guys this is the return of John Salmons and Brad Miller to Arco Arena. Brad Miller a huge fan favorite and should get a very warm welcome. I think both play well tonight especially Salmons. Playing small ball Jason Thompson will have to guard either Gibson or Deng who should annihilate him off the dribble. Joakim Noah is an M.I.P candidate this year and is an absolute beast. Bulls are also playing their first game of their circus road trip. They will want to get that first win to start things off on the long road trip. Granted they have not won their first game of their circus road trip in over a decade but those kinda stats don't scare me, just thought it was good to note for Kings backers. Fact of the matter is there is value in this line, Sac is not-overrated but loved a bit too much at this point, chi-town should be favored and will win this game.
10 UNITS DENNIS RODMAN- - -
DENVER NUGGETS - 6.0 (-130) - - - I know I know, Mak is going against his boys. You all don't know how hard it is for me but all homers should put their hearts aside when betting. Because in my opinion NBA cappers always know their home squad the best and my first year of betting, it was Raps games that made me the most money. Tonight I just do not see my boys being able to hang. Both teams are playing an 8 man rotation and if you look a matchups and rosters the Nugs just have the Raps number. Billups and Lawson will cause too many problems for Jack and Jose. Billups too big and Lawson too quick. Afflalo and J.R are good SG's in rotation that will cause problems for Toronto as well. Who exactly is gonna guard Mello? Even Antonie Wright the Raps best defender will have problems guarding Mello's size and skill. Kenyon, Nene and Chris Andersen are gonna own the block against Bosh, Bargnani and Amir. The Denver Nuggets are an exceptional team on multiple days rest. They are coming off a huge game against the Lakers. They have had time to simmer down, practice and fine tune their game even further. The last time the Raps were in the mile high city their organization was destroyed. Raps were raped and Sam was fired. Only Chris, Jose and Andrea remain from that night. Sometimes when you get popped like that it sticks with you. That baby blue color on the hardwood, the announcer before each Denver game reminding away teams of the altitude, Denver is just not good to Toronto. Never has been. I don't suspect anything different tonight.
10 UNITS MAHMOUD ABDUL-RAUF - - -
Ladies and gentlemen, been itching to get back to an other NBA season. I know I said I would retire after last year but after a very profitable season I just can't say no. Love the game but the love for the money is even greater. Am glad to be back and look forward to being a consistent NBA capper and hope the same ol' ballers show up here once the pre-season is done.
Still a chance to make a little dough in pre-season, been betting very low wages just trying to get a feel for it once again. I am 8-3 on wagers in the pre-season and starting today will begin posting my picks.
You all know Mak is a big NBA guy, that is all I know and after a very profitable playoffs and season my confidence is at an all time high. I am capping with clarity and a new sense of money management, hoping this year is gonna be huge. Been keeping up to date on all transaction, roster movements and player improvements. Few thoughts on some teams to watch below.
Teams To Ride ATS This Season - - -
Boston Celtics - - - Hell they were a huge money train for whomever rode their backs all the way to the finals, with the acquisition of big man O'bryant and losing Posey, this team balances out and is my pick to repeat as Champs. Ride em ATS this season as they will blow out teams.
Los Angeles Lakers - - - Bynum, Gasol and Kobe are as formidable a 3 threat as any in the league. This team will dominate this season.
Houston Rockets - - - My team to win the West, yes that's right. Ron Artest, Yao and Trace (if healthy) are actually (in my opinion) the best 3 threat in the league.
Teams To Watch - - -
76ers - - - This team is talented, young and hungry. With the acquisition of all-star PF Brand, this team will battle with any given team all year long. Watch out for Thadeus Young, 2nd year man is gonna tear is up this year.
My Raps - - - If Jermaine can stay healthy, this team may surprise a lot of you, but are they deep enough to contend with the best?
Clipps - - - I think Baron Davis and Camby will be able to guide this team to a winning record this season.
Bobcats - - - Everyone is healthy and if Larry Brown can work his magic this team will make the playoffs in the east.
Team That Will Crumble
Knicks - - - Even Mike Dantoni cannot make the Knicks good, trust me, their high tempo offensive strategy will backfire.
Kings - - - Despite some good talent this team will go nowhere in the West and I doubt they have the talent to beat a lot of mediocre eastern teams.
Questionmark Teams - - -
Nuggets and Phoenix - - - Watch these teams early in the season, whatever their performance is to start off the year will dictate how they perform for the rest of the year.
GONNA BE A HELL OF A YEAR FELLAS, WILL POST PLAYS FOR TODAY CLOSE TO GAMETIME!! GLAD TO BE BACK GUYS, PEACE OUT !!
