Very rarely do I have as lucky of a night as I did tonight. I took the following 2nd half bets....
Memphis +.5 +115
Sacramento +3.5 +125
mainly because whenever my online book offers these skewed 2nd half lines it is a damn good idea to take the plus money.
The Memphis game I win with a last second dunk to win by .5 point.
The Sac-town game I get a missed last second shot to win by .5 point.
I'll take it, but talk about some ball-scrapers!
HI all, I've bet for a few years on football and basketball but just started this year on baseball. I'm mainly basing my plays on a combination of line moves, public betting and trends, along with such things as home dogs, travel days, standings, pitcher matchups, etc. I mostly play dogs, and never, ever ever massive (above -150) favs, especially big road favs.
Here's today's picks, all for a bet of 1 unit for dogs and to win 1 unit for favs. I'm 1-1 on the day, with a win for SF +122 and a loss (barely) on the STL/NYM under, but I won't count that for my record since it wasn't posted.

Baltimore +175 - Big public on Detroit, line goes down. Baltimore's been hitting lights out and no reason they can't do it again tonight.
Tampa Bay -127 - Heavy movement on the Rays despite a majority on the Red Sox. Heartbreaker loss and trends point against the Sox (see the thread with Bator's comments).
Milwaukee +127 - Like the pitching matchup here. Think Schmidt gets taken.
Toronto EVEN - Also like the under here. Heavy line movement on TOR plus I love betting against the Yankees in situations like this. Think Toronto pulls this out in a squeaker.
Pittsburgh -110 - Arizona's not getting another road win even if they're playing the AAA Pirates.
Colorado +135 - Heavy line movement on Colorado. Happ may be pissed about potentially being moved to the bullpen though, so watch out. Also, this is a homer bet, so beware.
I'm considering a few others and will post if I take them.
