Hey guys I've been on Covers
for a couple of years, but had never posted anything during the football
season. I'll be posting some picks every week. Looking forward to checking
everyone else’s plays and opinions this season. GL everyone!!
RUTGERS WASHINGTON ST OVER 62
Game should be high
scoring with both teams bringing in powerful offenses. Washington State in the
air will be a nightmare for the Rutgers secondary. Halliday is cocky and
arrogant Quarterback. He will be looking to score every play. Rutgers also possesses
an offense that is strong on the ground with two running backs that are studs.
Washington state defense will have a hard time slowing them. Nova is also no
slouch for the Scarlet Knights. I can see this game easily getting into the
I think this
is an interesting game when looking at it. I believe Penn state has a lot of
unneeded hype for this game. Coach Franklin will be great for Penn state in the
future. However, entering his first season I think they could struggle. Hackenberg
was solid as a freshman last year, but the lost of his best receiver to the
draft will hurt big time for him. Also, the Penn state defense is not as strong
as it has been in the past, with the lack of depth really starting to show up.
Central Florida did lose Bortles and Storm, but that won’t matter for their
offense this game. The Central Florida team will be able to gather up some points.
I think it comes down to the UCF defense. The defense is big, strong, and fast.
They will keep Hackenberg and the offense in check all game.
I love CSU
ability to score points and to move the ball on Colorado. The only real
weakness would be its offensive line. Grayson will have plenty of receivers to
throw to and light up the scoreboard against a weak buffalo defense. Colorado
does possess a young Qb, who has tremendous talent and potential which could
keep them in the game for a while. I think comes down to CSU talent on offense
and I think they manage to get a couple of stops on defense.
I love the LSU
tigers, but I feel they are being over hyped just a little. They have great athleticism
and plenty of running backs. They probably will have the best freshman running
back since AP in 2004. However, I feel the adjustment of the new quarterbacks
will hurt and slow the transition. Offensive Coordinator Cam Cameron rolls with
a Pro-style scheme with young and inexperienced quarterbacks that could create
some unwanted errors by the offense. Of course, I could be wrong as both
Quarterbacks for LSU have tremendous talent. They very well could be studs in
the game. Wisconsin comes in with solid running backs as well and maybe the
best running back in the country in Gordon. The offensive line is powerful, and
I think the choice of McEvoy at QB is a positive sign. McEvoy is a big dual
threat QB that can make some plays with his feet. Both defenses will not be either
team’s strength in my opinion. Tough choice, but I’m going with Gordon and the
experience offensive line over the inexperienced QB’s of LSU.
