Hey Smack...hope you don't mind me posting in your space. There are a four NBA games and one NCAAF game tonight that fit my rules:

1. Utah -3 at home vs. Dallas. Consensus >60% on Dallas.

2. Memphis +2.5 at home vs. NO. Consensus >60% on NO.

3. NJ +5.5 at home vs. Detroit. Consensus >65% on Detroit.

4. Sacremento +7.5 vs. Boston. Consensus >70% on Boston.

5. Motor City Bowl is hard to call but I saw 12 "expert" picks on the over 71 tonight vs. 4 on the under 71. I'm leaning toward fading the over in this bowl game.

Your thoughts?

Matt....I learned three things / rules this past weekend that I am basing my plays on:

1) Bet on home or neutral dogs when the consensus is on the road favorite.

2) Bet on the home favorite when the consensus is on the road dog.

3) Find some statistics to back your play on amateur sports.

Your play on Denver -9 violated rule #1....therefore it should have been a no play. The only play we had on last night's game and the consensus was fading the over. I saw a lot of picks on the over in last night's game but like an idiot tailed it instead of fading it. I'm still learning too.

Consensus is 65/35 in favor of the Suns => I have placed a bet on the Lakers for Xmas day. I also like the fact it is televised...gives the Kobe a national audience which is something I'm sure he loves. We'll see!

Listen, if you have taken the time to look here, please understand that my gambling philosophy of "Fade the Consensus" is not a joke or an attack on anyone at this site. There is nothing personal about it so I do not list the names of the cappers I fade. However, it is a fact that most cappers, the HUGE majority, lose money gambling but are in denial about it. Friend, you do not have to continue losing. Just check your pride and ego and fade the board consensus...you will not be sorry that you did.
